"Amelia Pond." she called, right before he got in. She could feel an eyebrow rising, and she knew he was trying to understand.

"What?" he asked, his voice was weak, weak enough to break Amy's heart again. She closed her eyes, tried to feel better, and sighed.

"It's not Williams, it's Pond." she said, walking over him. "Amy Williams is a housewife. Amy Pond is a companion. A companion of the Doctor."

She could see the tears in his eyes again, she smiled weakly. He was hurt, she knew, he was sad, and old, and lonely and she knew it. But she couldn't take it anymore.

"I can come with you." she whispered, "Without Rory. Only me. We could- we could return after a while, I could wear the same clothes and he wouldn't understand anything."

He sighed, which broke her heart again. "Amy, you're married. You have a daughter. You- you love Rory. Can you just.. leave him here?"

"Of course I love him. He's.. Rory. But.. I mean.. I can spend time with you, and spend time with him, but he won't even realize it."

She knew she was about to cry, or beg, or pass out, but she kept on smiling. She knew he wanted her to come with him, so badly, she knew he wanted her to be Amy Pond again, and she was offering, offering a few years together.

"I don't want you to die," was the only reply.

"I'm not afraid." she said, arms crossed. "I'm not afraid of the ways I can die, of the places I can die, of the things I should be afraid of." she wiped her tears with her hand, "I'm afraid to lose you."

And the moment she saw that tear running down his face, she realized. She realized how much he meant to her and how much she meant to him. How their relationship got ruined after she got married. How he was afraid of touching her, afraid of losing her. She smiled. After all, he was the one she waited for.

He took her hand. He smiled. Not the ones that he did usually, the weak ones, the ones that were the proof that he was 900 years old.

This was a smile.

And with that, she knew she was going to spend at least 3 years in the blue box with the mad man as the girl who waited.

Waited for him.

He nodded, looked at the window of their brand new house, took a deep breath, and pushed her in.

After all, the day ended with a big surprise.

He kissed her.
