SMEE
"Peter! You should storm the ship, cutting down all the pirates where they stand, a daring adventure that would be," Nibs, one of the lost boys, suggested. "Then we could come along, Peter, and you're sure not to be hurt while we're there," exclaimed Marmaduke and Binky at the same time. "Me? Get hurt? NEVER! I'm the awe-inspiring Peter Pan! Really boys, I thought you knew I was planning a stealth mission, that's the only thing that will work in this kind of situation." Tootles rubbed his nose and sniffed, "Ah, that codfish Hook, I wish he hadn't of taken Tinkerbell. What a stinky trick." Pan swooped up in a swift swoop and shook his finger at the gathered boys, "Oh, the cleverness of me! I tricked that old Hooky into napping Tink so he can have the opportunity of two hooks!"
The jungle humidity was suffocating the small assembly as they socialized and settled down to wait for Peter. Slightly itched his fox hood and said drowsily, "How come Peter gets all the adventures? We should go to the Indian camp and see if Chief Red Face has a quest for us. That should be fun." Nibs yawned lazily and replied, "Maybe later, I'm sort of…well, bushed." And with these words his head dropped down to a small pillow of moss. One by one the lost boys clumsily lay down and went into a deep sleep filled with imagined adventures.
Peter glided past the Mermaid Lagoon, waving to his friends while preparing his plan over and over again in his mind. First, he decided, he would locate where that hideous first mate named Smee was buried.
Hook scratched his nose…then screamed. "SMEE, WHERE ARE YOU?! You're never around when I need you," he added as a side comment. Smee bumbled into Hook's private chambers, and then tripped to a stop. "Aye, Captain." I have a flesh wound!" Smee adjusted his spectacles. "Cap'n, you need a bandage for yer snoz!" Smacking his head, the infamous Captain yelled, "YOU IDIOT! Of course I do! I'm bleeding to death so hurry and get some clean cloth."
Peter hovered silently behind one of the main masts of the ship. And waited. Soon, he saw, Smee stumbled up onto the chief deck of the pirate ship and hurriedly called to one of the pirates on board. "Grims! Get me a bandage! Hook's bleedin' from his snoz!" The small but rather rotund man exclaimed. Peter took a deep breath and dived down to the ground where he grasped Smee in a chokehold with his forest knife to Smee's throat.
