Julie?"
"No," "Erika?"
"Nah" "...Elizabeth?"
"I think that's too common... What about Sarah?"
"That's common too."
"...Peko?"
"Why on earth would you want to name her that?"
"There was an swordwo-"
"No."
"Ugh fine... I really can't think of any other names, Eleanor..."
"We need to keep trying, Rokurou. It won't be long till She's here"
Rokurou and Eleanor sat down on their bed in their secluded house as
Eleanor want to make sure that the villagers she's helping doesn't know she's secretly married to a deamon and to protect their unborn child as well.
Eleanor rubbed her 7 months pregnant belly as the baby move a little.
It came as quite a shock to Eleanor.
Rokurou was even more shocked to find out, because no one had ever heard of a daemon having a baby. Despite the shock he was actually overjoyed with the news and reassured Eleanor that they can make this work.
Eleanor continue to work as a Shepard and help as much as she could.
As time passed she wore larger clothes to cover her growing belly and still helped people with smaller things so the baby doesn't get hurt from combat.
thankfully she found someone with high resonance and decided to train them so by the time the baby arrive, she'll pass her title as Shepard to them.
Right now she's just spending quality time with rokurou well... and she would've enjoy it more once they finish thinking of an name for their daughter.
"Oh I give up! I don't think we'll find the perfect name for her." Eleanor groaned as she rested her head on her pillow and placed a hand her belly. Rokurou sighed and pondered more on the baby's name. He looked out the window near them and noticed some cherry blossoms blooming on the tree before looking back at Eleanor's belly.
"...Sakura..." Eleanor looked at Rokurou, curious at the name he suggested. "Sakura?" she asked.
"It means 'cherry blossom' and it sounds youthful and cute.. and maybe...with the amount of love and care we'll give her, she'll blossom into a moral and respectful person...like you Eleanor." Rokurou deeply explained. "...oh my god! Look at me! I'm a daemon and I'm thinking of names that are cute!
"No wait, Sakura... yeah. Yeah, that's perfect!" Eleanor replied happily as she carefully lifted herself from her pillow. "I wouldn't have thought you would think of something I'd actually agree on."
"Hey, I'm smart! Name one time I've been stupid." Rokurou exclaimed. "Rokurou you thought the world was flat." She answered flatly. Rokurou was about to respond but he thought about it. "...Alright you win. I just don't want to screw up. I want to teach her the Rangetsu style, I'll be honest about that, but not too much cause." he paused while looking at his hand before continuing. "I want to bond with her. As my daughter. All this is coming from a daemon for crying out loud!" his tone was serious.
Eleanor lay an reassuring hand on his shoulder before speaking.
"Rokurou, from how I've watched you care for Laphicet and Kamoana, I know you'll be a great father." Eleanor warmly smiled before feeling a little kick from inside her belly. "And it seems Sakura agrees too." She took Rokurou's hand and gently placed it on the spot the baby was kicking. Rokurou grinned as he felt the kick. "And you'll be one hell of a mother, Eleanor." he said softly before placing a kiss on his wife's lips and saying, "I love you." Eleanor responded by returning the kiss. "I love you too."
Rokurou smiled and leaned his face towards Eleanor's belly. "And of course we love you too, Sakura." he said quietly before gently kissing Eleanor's belly and resting his face on it. Eleanor smiled while running a hand through Rokurou's messy hair now feeling relaxed and less stressed. "It won't be long now." she said to herself while enjoying this moment with Rokurou.
