Ferncloud. The name floated through his head as he gazed at the she-cat who he loved more than anything laying on the ground her chest not moving and her beautiful, beautiful green eyes clouded over.
"I will be with you soon my love." He whispered sadly. And then, we will walk together toward StarClan, fur brushing and tails twined.
"StarClan are you happy now?" He yowled to the sky then sagging and putting his nose into Ferncloud's fur, memories flooding into his head, Clan life had been hard, he always had tried to find love, but fear was at the heart of everything. What if Fernpaw rejected him like Sandstorm? Oh Ferncloud, we really have seen everything. There was the Great Journey, the endless walking had been hard but the Dark Forest battle had been the hardest. I guess Ferncloud deserves the sleep he thought to himself, besides I will be in StarClan soon and see you again. Well if I have payed off my Clan well enough and StarClan and the Dark Forest have had enough fun tormenting me, it will be soon, even though there is no one beside you now, I'll follow you into into the dark.
