A/N: This is for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Insane house challenge. This was for prompt #3 Hermione Granger. It's 370 words.

Hermione walked around the house that she had called home for her entire life reliving memories of happier times.

"Did you make these for me?" her father asked bending down in front of her.

"No, daddy! They're for me," Hermione giggled.

"All of them?" he gasped dramatically.

She nodded.

"I don't know about that."

"Please, daddy?" Hermione asked with the biggest smile she could muster.

After pretending to think about it for a minute he said, "You can some of cookies over the next few days. Not too many though otherwise your teeth will rot."

She knew the only way to keep her parents safe was to wipe their memories of her from their minds and send them away from Britain. It hadn't been an easy decision, but Hermione knew that it would be easier on the run knowing that they were going to be safe.

The sound of a car pulling into the driveway brought Hermione out of her thoughts and memories. Her parents were home and it was time to do this.

"Hermione, are you here?" her mother called.

"I will down in a moment," she called back.

After finding her courage, Hermione walked down the stairs to the door of the kitchen. Her parents hadn't noticed her arrival and Hermione was thankful.

Raising her wand she said "Obliviate."

Hermione turned and ran from the house as fast as she could. She was running more from the onslaught of emotions than anything else, and when she reached a deserted alleyway she let them loose. Her tears gave way to uncontrollable sobs and she felt as if her heart was being torn out.

If Hermione died in this war, Wendell and Monica Wilkins would never know that they had a daughter. They would never know how much she loved them, or how much she tried to protect them from the oncoming storm. All they would know is that one day they had the urge to book a one way ticket to Australia and not come back.

After she had got her emotions under control Hermione decided that she ought to Apparate to the Burrow. There was no point in putting herself in danger when she didn't need to be.
