Title: Tomorrow May Be Shaky
Rating: T
Pairing: non-specified, but het.
Summary: The answers to having it all is an answer these doctors continually stride towards finding, and ultimately these doctors will get it. A look into what awaits them if and when they do.
Note: This is for any pairing of your choosing--let your imagination run wild, because this one is what I like to call a free-for-all. Feedback is appreciated (and hearing who you see having this one day is lovely as well), and I hope you enjoy.

Hands intertwine, gazes lock, breaths hitch, bodies conjoin.

She whispers his name with lust possessed eyes and itching love, causing him to push his mouth over hers, silencing words because they can only say so much.

Writhing beneath him, he feels her soul crash into his, melding their love, painting the room with one swirl that no one will ever be able see. But everyone can feel.

Her free hand drags over his back, digs her nails into it when he flicks his tongue in that way that always makes her gasp. The clawing always makes him grin in satisfaction.

Softly she bites the skin between his shoulder and neck and he mutters her name like a dream he finds impossible to believe has manifested itself. But she chuckles tenderly into his skin and he knows he has her.

He traces kisses down her jaw line and drives into her, and nothing is heard but their breathing that is as fast-paced as it is small and far between their drive.

The moon glides outside the window, as stars fade and clouds part for the sun. But between then and now, a pager has gone off and a chaste kiss was their bid of goodnight. Smiles played on lovers lips, sighs drew up from the swelling of hearts, out into the air that still lingers with the aftertaste of them.

Hallways are bright despite the dim light bulbs, stress is elusive despite dying patients or worse--hopeless patients. Sympathetic, encouraging looks, warm whispers, and small hand grips push them on.

Being a doctor?

Like many jobs that involve moving the people, the world forward, is a difficult task. A draining task.

Having it all? And figuring it out?

Sounds so simple. The love in between sounds so perfect and extraordinary. It's never perfect or simple, but knowing someone is waiting for your hand at the end of the day? It is extraordinary.
