Sam scanned the freshman chemistry exam results. Professor Jefferson was old-school, preferring to post grades outside his office before releasing them online. The last page of the huge class's alphabetical list yielded WINCHESTER, SAMUEL............A.
"Awesome, dude!"
Sam whirled, searching for Dean, momentarily forgetting that his big brother didn't have a monopoly on that phrase.
Louis, his new friend, chemistry classmate and fellow dorm floor inhabitant, slapped Sam's back. "You nailed it, Sam. Let's go celebrate!"
"You got an 'A', too?"
"Nah, I got a B-." Louis grinned. "But now I know who to sit behind at the next chem exam."
