2 people stand at the edge of the cliff.
It over looks a peaceful looking town. The breeze was cool for a summer day, and the air was fresher. The water that had surrounded the town seemed to understand the mood and gently sparkled under the setting sun.
Neither spoke as they stood side by side, over looking the peaceful scene. The sound of people going home after a hard day's work and the sound of children playing echoed from the town. Neither spoke and both continued to watch the scene from their little perch in silence. Both seemed to revel in it.
Like a spell being cast, they both wrapped their arms around each other. Words didn't pass between them, but their actions spoke louder and more sincere than they could muster. They had stayed this way for awhile before the taller one loosened their grip and wrapped an arm around the others' waist.
Under the stars, they no melody, or song but their own. They danced and swayed, following the wind and the stars in grace. Neither spoke, no words needed. From either fear of the spell to break or to ruin the moment, they never spoke.
Fleeting touches.
Gentle rubs.
Smiles.
So they continued, for what seemed to be a fleeting eternity. An eternity they knew that was to end, but an eternity for them nonetheless. They clung to this moment, the moment where there was nothing else between them but them.
But like the spell that had been cast, they regretfully parted. Their arms slowly falling to their sides. Neither spoke and all was still, except for the melody of the animals within the dark forest.
The night had grown darker, but the forest was glowing with fireflies and lamp bugs. They both look at each other before one turns and walks away. Only to stop at the edge of the dark forest.
They turn around and hold an outstretched armored hand. Brown eyes filled with all the emotions they didn't, and couldn't say.
The other stepping back, letting their silver hair billow under the gleaming moonlight. Neither spoke but both knew what they were reffering too.
A smile gracing the others lips, and they step forward until they are embracing again. They hug before they let go.
A kiss, a short , sweet kiss was all they had.
A kiss that felt like eternity.
A kiss that bound them together and broke them farther apart.
"I love you"
Just like that, the spell was broken and the 2 figures were left to 1.
With silver hair blowing gently behind her, a blush began to creep on her face. A small, bitter smile briefly skimmed her features before she turns around to catch the last remaining strands of scarlet, before it was lost to the darkness.
