Staring up at his azure eyes Tsuki could see it all clearly. The first time they met, their first mission together, even their first date. It all seemed so long ago. Where had the time gone? It just seemed like yesterday when they got their squad assignments. Coming back Tsuki heard his voice calling to her. Looking up she saw that his blue eyes were full of tears and sadness.
His grip tightened on the back of her neck. "Come on Tsuki, you can't leave me just yet. You promised me, that we would come back home, together! You can't just let go of that promise Tsuki, I won't let you!" the tears in his eyes finally started to fall landing on her face.
Reaching a weak hand up to lie on his cheek Tsuki smiled. Bringing one of his hands up to cover hers he stared back at her. "Naruto, you know what's going to happen and you know that the village it too far away to help. I know it hurts but you'll find someone to make you happy, someone you can settle down with." As a few tears slipped out of her eyes Tsuki tried to hold on but the darkness in the back of her mind was winning.
Shaking his head he held her hand tighter. "No! No Tsuki, you're the only one for me and you know that! If you leave me ill never find anyone close to what you mean to me! Don't you get it!" he cried knowing that she was leaving him, the light in her eyes dimming as every second passed.
Losing her breath, Tsuki tried to speak one last time. "Naruto, I love you." And as his eyes widened she gasped for breath and her world went dark.
