Introduction & Author Notes

Introduction

Greetings! It has been a long time since I published anything here (or anywhere, for that matter!). Yes, I am aware that my Rukia/Kaien Bleach fic has been neglected for, well, longer than I care to admit. Life happened. I make no excuses, but I do sincerely apologize to anyone who is/was following that story and was excited to see an update from me, then enraged/disappointed that the update was NOT to that fic. *Sigh* All I can say is that, truly, I am sorry. I hope to one day finish that story, but in all honesty, I just cannot guarantee it right now.

Which brings me to my current story, Loveless Untitled! I have been intrigued with this manga (and to a lesser extent, the anime) since I first encountered it several years ago. I actually have two stories in progress, but this one is the one most frequently on my mind lately. It is IN PROGRESS (sorry); I don't even have a title for it yet (waiting to finish the story before picking its true title). I actually started both of my Loveless fics probably close to 2 years ago now. I wanted to wait until it was complete before I started posting it, but since this one is Ritsuka/Kio I decided to test the waters and see if there is even any interest/following for this pairing.

Notes

1. I have read the rules and guidelines. I KNOW there are not supposed to be "author's notes" chapters. I do not make a habit of doing this, but I had a fair amount of things I wanted to mention/address and didn't want to clutter the actual story chapters. Please, PLEASE, do not report me for this one time infraction.

2. This story is IN PROGRESS.

I currently have 3 complete chapters (62 pages in Word) and am two pages into chapter 4. I know my new MO was to not post a story until is was complete, but as stated above, I am kind of testing the waters to see if there is even any interest in this story/pairing. Plus, if it DOES get positive feedback, it may encourage me to actually try to find the time to finish it.

Although IN PROGRESS, the entire story is basically written in my head. I know every move the characters are going to make, every twist and turn that is going to happen, how it ends. All of it. It is planned and mapped out, so no "making it up as I go" or developing/changing the story (within reason) based on feedback/my daily whims.

In the interest of full disclosure, I have not updated this story in about a year. I am hoping that that changes, but I can't make any guarantees. Again, the hope is that if I actually do end up getting a lot of interest/positive feedback, I'll be more motivated to make time for writing again. This is NOT a plea for reviews (though what author doesn't like getting feedback?), I just want to be 100% honest. And, in the vein of being 100% honest, a lot of interest and feedback doesn't even guarantee that I WILL get back to writing it. Life is what it is, and we don't always get what we want (thanks for the words of wisdom, Rolling Stones).

I am only planning on posting chapter 1 for now (unless there is a large demand, which I'm not really expecting). As above, I am basically testing the waters here. If and when I am ready to post the entire story, it will be when the story is complete. This is to make sure that I have the chance to fully re-read (several times) the story once completed for editing/refining/corrections/continuity. There are things I don't like about this chapter, things that don't flow 100% the way I'd like. That is for another day.

3. This story contains MALE/MALE relationships. EXPLICIT male/male relationships. If this offends you or displeases you then please, PLEASE, do not even read it.

4. This story contains EXPLICIT SEXUAL CONTENT. Like, MA+ content (is that even a rating?). Okay, maybe it's not quite that extreme. Please do not report me for this! I have been loyal to exclusively for my fan fiction needs (to the point that I didn't even realize there were othe similar sites for a long time). I don't want to have to jump ship now. As above, if this offends you or displeases you then please, PLEASE, do not proceed any further.

5. This story is focused on an explicit, sexual, male/male relationship between RITSUKA AND KIO. I cannot stress these 3 points enough. I don't even know if there is a following for Ritsuka/Kio out there. Soubi will be in the story, but as you find out preeeetty early on in Chapter 1, this story is going to focus on the relationship between Ritsuka and Kio. If you can't handle seeing Ritsuka with someone other than Soubi, please do me a favor and just don't read this story (unless you are OPEN to this relationship...then give it a try...you just might find you like it).

6. The idea for this story was actually spawned while working on my OTHER Loveless story (which is Soubi/Ritsuka). This story is sort of an alternate version...it follows the canon of my other story, but goes down a different path. So if I ever get the other story up and running, it will even further flesh out some of the things in this story and vice-versa. THAT, however, is a conversation for another day.

7. I tried to stay canon to the story where possible (for both stories). Though, admittedly, this story is pretty off-canon. But, I tired to keep details from the manga in tact and just flesh out some of the details. That being said...

8. SPOILERS, sweetie. I'm not sure if there are actually any serious spoilers in the chapter I'm posting here, but if I post the rest of it some day there undoubtedly will be.

9. I'm sorry for all of these notes. Again, please don't report me. I won't do this again.
