Hello, the name's Golitha. Ok, not really, my name is actually Martha, but I prefer Golitha. Yeah funny name I know, but if you saw me you'd understand. I was born with the 'X' gene, and am a class 1 mutant. Basically meaning I look weird. But I like my mutation. Not many others do but…that's them. I don't know about other mutants, but I love it when I walk down the street and hear some random child say, "Look mom! A gargoyle!" It makes me smile.
I was 21 when I changed. My skin began to get harder and harder, turning the color of granite. Wings began to grow outa my back and horns from my head, it was painful but in the end I found myself liking it.
I am now 34 and happily employed, at a local collage teaching anatomy. Its fun, I love it there, the student are pleasant, and the faculty wonderful. It was here I met the love of my life and my husband, Joseph (he teaches architecture). And before you ask, no, he is not a mutant, but he loves me, and that is what matters.
Joe and I have one beautiful child, named for Joe's mother, Angie. We are also expecting one more, though I truly hope this one a boy, I don't think I could stand two girls! Think of the bickering! We'll find out soon enough I suppose, I'm due in one months time. We are so excited, practically Joe.
