Author's Note: Hey guys! This is my very first thing ever (YAY!) so I hope I'm doing this right! :D (We'll see) XD This is a poem about the last book in the Divergent series. One Shot.
SPOILER WARNING: If you haven't read the books (especially the third book!) then you may not want to read this, as it contains a spoiler for the ending! Just thought I'd warn you now.
Speaking of warnings, you should probably know that this will make you CRY. It's about Tris's death at the end of the Allegiant. I was even crying while I wrote it (I was also at school at the time, and let me tell you, it's hard to retain your dignity when you're bawling at school over a poem about a book)! What can I say? I haz lotz of feels XD So, I hope you enjoy it!
Slip Away, Slip Away
Sweep away,
Sweep away,
Escape this bleak and broken place,
Slip away,
Slip away,
Never more to see his face
Push away,
Push away,
Hear the news and watch him fall
Slip away,
Slip away,
She'll never answer his desperate call
Fall away,
Fall away,
Shatter like his broken heart
Slip away,
Slip away,
Four and Tris are torn apart
Run away,
Run away,
She's gone, like Marlene, Uriah, and Will
Slip away,
Slip away,
He calls her name but she lays still
Steal away,
Steal away,
Escape this bleak and broken place
Slip away,
Slip away,
And still he longs for her embrace
