"Anakin wake up" said a loud female voice.

Anakin felt as though he'd just been squished by millions of pounds of stone and ice. It wasn't an uncommon feeling for him over the last few years. It took a moment for him to realize that the crushing was gone, and nothing else was attacking him at that moment. A remarkable realization washed over him. The prison that held him for three years was gone.

He was free.

He forced himself to sit up. As had become normal for him, pain ruled everything. Everything he felt, heard, saw, overshadowed by pain. Every movement he made was caused by or met with pain. It lined his every thought. His every hope, thought, dream, filled with and consumed until pain was all that remained.

But now, he could feel no new pain being forced into him. He had only the remnants of what had come before. Even that was beginning to subside. It was as though the warm sun beating down on him could nurture him like a warm motherly embrace.

He forced his eyes open. At first his vision was so cloudy it was impossible to make out anything. Then slowly his vision cleared. Anakin was still unable to comprehend what he saw, yet he could identify some colors and basic shapes.

It was beautiful. The scenery was like a glass of ice cold water after spending a lifetime parched in the desert.

His cramped muscles loosened and his burning skin cooled. He took a deep breath. The fresh air smelled sweet. Anakin enjoyed the pleasure of breathing it as though he were eating chocolate.

He examined his surroundings once more. Anakin saw that he seemed to be at the top of a small mountain surrounded with a bed of soft green grass sprinkled with colorful flowers. It was surrounded by an endless beautiful blue sea which reflected the serene summer sky.

Anakin was unsure how long he'd been sitting there. It could've been hours. All he knew was that it was long enough for most of his pain to fade. He was for one of the rare instances in his last three years, happy.

He snapped back into reality when whatever had woken him up spoke again. "Anakin, look at me" she said. Her voice was loud and powerful, yet also kind and gentle.

Anakin turned to face the mysterious woman. He was slightly shocked by what he saw.

The woman was a giant, larger than the mountain he was on. She had human features like shiny pale skin and wavy light brown hair, but Anakin had probably never met someone so clearly not a normal human.

That's not to say she wasn't pretty. She had flowers in her hair and on her dress. Her long hair was tied in a bun on one side and lose on the other. Her blue eyes were the color of the sky, just like his.

"W-who are you?" asked Anakin as he struggled to get to his feet. He discovered he had trouble balancing. His pain wasn't completely gone, made more apparent with pounding in his head that started up again as soon as he stood. Still, it was nothing compared to what he'd been through before.

The woman smiled at him."I am your aunt" she said .

How could I have an aunt? My mother had no siblings wondered Anakin.

"How could you be my aunt?" asked Anakin. The woman giggled.

"Well, I am the twin sister of your father, which makes you my nephew!"

My father? he thought.

"I uh, I don't know my father" said Anakin. According to his mother he didn't have one. He wasn't sure he believed that.

"Of course you do" said the woman. "It surrounds us, it penetrates us, it binds the universe together".

He knew what she meant. The most outlandish theory was true. "So I really was created by the Cosmic Force?" asked Anakin. The woman nodded.

How could the Force have a sister? he wondered.

"Many thousands of eons ago when the universe was just starting out, an order to the way things work began to form, and along with it I was born. Later the very first living thing somehow came to be, and along with that your father was born" said the woman.

That was, rather fascinating honestly. But he knew it was time to ask the question he might not want the answer too. "Why am I here?" asked Anakin.

She smiled. "That I need to explain to you. You see honey, you're being brought back to life".
