AN: For, of course, the God of Mischief, Loki. The title is from Linkin Park's The Little Things Give You Away. Why? Because the line 'All you've ever wanted was someone who truly looked up to you' reminds me of Loki. And because Linkin Park is amazing.

The end of this poem references Loki's appearance at San Diego Comic Con 2013. If you haven' seen it, please Youtube it now so you understand the ending.

The master of mischief
The lord of all lies,
With tongue of silver
And heart which thrives

On chaos and bloodshed:
The toys of his game.

With horns of fair gold,
A mantle of green,
His fair words of promise
Snapped like a string,

With the hearts of the world
Tethered to it.

Enshrouded in shadow,
Broken and lost.
Brother of hope, but
Bringer of frost.

Betrayal and hate
Locked behind those eyes.

What he would give
For the world at his feet,
Worshipped forever,
A throne as his seat.

Not hated, not scorned,
Not trampled all over.

How he would love
The scream of the crowd.
Elation, hysteria,
The hall filled with sound.

The world aligned
With his heartbeat.

If only he could see
The worth of his fame

The crowds in the dark
Screaming his name.

Say my name.
Say my name!

SAY MY NAME!
