Disclaimer and AN: Static Shock is NOT MINE. Dwayne McDuffie owns it, as well as part of my soul. I haven't written fanfiction (or any sort of narrative, actually) in FOREVER. This is because I'm not all that good at it. Also, I know there are lots of fics that depict either one or two of the boys as people that are knowledgeable in the 'otaku' department. While it kind of squicks me, I couldn't really help myself.
TL;DR: I don't own Static Shock. This probably won't meet your standards.
"Hey, V…" Richie asked, looking up at his half-asleep partner. Virgil looked down lazily at the blonde in his arms, planting a soft kiss to his head.
"Mmph?"
"I was thinking, uh…do you think you could stop calling me bro?" Virgil adjusted the blanket over them and chuckled in response.
"I've been calling you 'bro' since third grade, Rich…"
'I know', he thought, 'It's just…this thing we have. It's kinda weird when you call me bro, now.'
Richie reached up to grab either of Virgil's hands. God, he was so warm… soft, too.
"The way we are now," the blonde started, unsure, " I mean, uh… I'm more than your bro, aren't I?" This elicited another laugh from the teen behind him.
"Is this what this is all about?" Virgil whispered tauntingly into his boyfriend's ear, " You want a pet name?" Richie shuddered, a blush beginning to creep over his face.
"N-no!" But the response was too late. He could feel supple lips pressing to the back of his neck.
"You're right. 'Bro' was getting kind of old. How's 'baby' sound?"
"V-Virgil!" Virgil's hand left Richie's as it trailed down, snaking under the fair-skinned teen's shirt. Except his face wasn't so fair at the moment. He was red as a tomato, and Virgil was picking up on it. Big time.
"You're downright adorable like this. All blushing and nervous…" his hand glided over a flat plane of muscle, tensing slightly under his touch, "How about cutie? Honey? Sweetie pie?" Oh, that was it. Virgil was having way too much fun with this. Richie was not going to become one of those girly men like in those …'yowie' comics he saw at Sci-fi con. So he mustered up the silkiest voice he could.
"Y'know, Virg, I kinda like 'Vanilla'." Virgil's hand stayed still against his abdomen as Richie bit his lip and looked up through lidded eyes.
"O-oh, is that right?" Now the blood was rushing to Virgil's cheeks. Oh man, that voice…He didn't know what the hell 'Vanilla' meant, but he could care less. He was too busy focusing on the 'God, I want you right now' that his boyfriend was giving off. But before he could think the subject through any further, Richie was slipping out of his arms and turning to straddle his waist. The blonde took off his glasses and threw them aside, bending down to whisper,
"Yeah, V. Just wait 'till I get motto fukaku."
Virgil didn't know what that meant either, but he was pretty sure he was about to find out.
