Pairing: William Spears x Jack Frost

AN:Written for Suitonthetightrope on Tumblr about a month back.

William stood by the edge of the frozen lake one late February day, dressed warmly in his fleece jacket and plaid scarf. He held a pair of old ice skates in his hands, his body trembling slightly, partly from the biting frost, but mostly because of the anticipation of waiting for a certain young man.

Suddenly, a large gust of wind whooshed by, swirls of flurries blurring his vision. When they settled, before him stood a pale youth, dressed in nothing but brown pants and a midnight blue hoodie, holding a brown staff. His silvery white hair glinted beautifully in the sunlight, as the young man grinned warmly at William.

William smiled, pushing his glasses up. "Hello Jack. I was begging to wonder whether you'd show at all." Jack let out a bark of laughter. " Come on now Will! You should have more faith in me." He walked closer to William, looking down at the skates he held. "See you came prepared. Should we start?"

Before William could respond, Jack had taken hold of his wrist, bounding over to the frozen lake. He set William on a nearby bench to tie on his skates as he slipped onto the ice, testing its strength. He nodded to himself when he found it strong enough for the both of them.

He turned back and made his way towards William holding his hands out towards the other. William took both of Jack's hand and cautiously stepped onto the ice. His legs shook, feeling unsteady despite Jack there.
"Just stand up a little straighter. Yes, like that. Now bend your knees a bit a move your legs out slowly. There ya go!" Jack smiled as William squeezed his eyes shut, following Jack's instructions.

He chuckled at how much concentration the other put into getting his moves perfect, bit stopped shortly when a pair of emerald-green eyes snapped open and glared at him lightly. "Not exactly polite to laugh while someone is trying to learn." William said sternly, a bit of playfulness shining through.
Jack shook his head, smiling wider. " Yes dear. I didn't mean to be rude." He stuck his tongue out at William, teasingly. " You should be careful or I'll have to make use of that tongue."

Jack laughed softly, pulling William closer. "I wouldn't mind you know." He said softly. A light blush dusted Williams cheeks at those words. "M-Maybe later." He mumbled quietly, turning his face from Jack. Jack turned his face back to him and pressed a soft, cold kiss to William's lips. William let out a small gasp at the sudden action, only to kiss back. Jack began skating slowly, swaying their bodies gently, completely content.

He though of all the memories he and Will had made this winter, and smiled. Yet the fact the winter was almost over, caused him to sigh unhappily. William looked at him quizzically, wondering what caused his friend sudden sadness.
"Winter's almost over. I'll have to leave soon..." William felt panic rise up in his chest. Would he be able to see Jack next? Or would Jack forget him..?

He laid his head onto Jack's shoulder trying hard not to let his sadness show. He felt Jack caress his cheek softly, smiling at him. "Don't be sad Will. I'll be back year. We can have fun then!" William still felt uneasy and wiggled a bit in his arms. "You may forget me." Jack's smiled faltered a bit.

"Shhh, no I won't. I'll come straight back to you once winter comes again. I promise." William hesitated but nodded. "Alright, but for now can we just push that to the side?" Jack grinned as he started skating back a little faster. He bent over and pressed a frosty kiss to William's nose "Of course! Now c'mon! I want to teach you how to spin!"
