Body Language
001 - Playing With Hair
Title: Body Language, 001
Fandom: Wicked, musical-verse
Prompt: Playing with hair = "Tell me you love me"
Character/Pairing: Elphaba T & Galinda U
Rating: T/PG
Word Count: 159
Summary: For actions speak louder than words and no actions speak as loudly as those of a lover. Gelphie. Mostly musical-verse.
Author's Notes: I looked at this thing, this list, that talked about the different meanings of different things people do. Looking at it, I could vividly see each one playing into a relationship between Galinda and Elphaba. Due to the current state of my latest multi-chaptered fic, I decided to put those vivid images into simple ficlets all of which fall in a category, but not necessarily in any order. The order of these is not chronological and one of them feels more book-verse than musical (even though all I've read of the book is the Munchkinland part). Hopefully, you'll enjoy reading them and comment/review each time. These are all short, BTW.
Disclaimer: I don't own Wicked or its characters. My big claim is just the thought of making a collection of dreams and owning a Wicked hoodie.
She does it with a pattern you are sure she does not realize.
Fluff, comb, drop.
Fluff, comb, drop.
Three different movements that all bring you to the same words, words you can feel as her soft fingers weave in and out of your obsidian tresses. You can tell she senses them too. It's obvious in the way she is so gentle and patient with you. She must be waiting for you to be ready to say them. You suppose, then, making her wait must be unkind and torturous. Having to take it back later, you argue, would be even more so though. It would be best for you both to wait, of that you can convince yourself.
Fluff, comb, drop.
Fluff, comb, drop.
Fluff, comb, drop.
Or maybe you can't.
You turn towards her, dragging out the comb of the rotation like the pounding of your heart as you open your mouth to say,
"I love you, Galinda."
(c) Beautifully Tragik. No touchy. It's mine. Well, not Wicked, but my words! Review please.
