Prequel: Saying Goodbye, Saying I'm Sorry, Saying Hello
~Jasper's Point Of View~
It had been four months since we left Bella to deal with the aftermaths of our abandonment. Four months that seemed more like forty years. Sighing I looked out the window of Alice and my bedroom, fighting with the emotions inside.
I was the only one who knew what this did to Bella; the girl that wiggled into my heart. Not as a lover, no, but as a sister, a little sister that needed to be protected.
I can't show it though. No, I was one of the threats to her life. Fate proved that theory on her 18th birthday. I was over taken by the scent of fresh blood.
I couldn't help it, I lost myself, and now the girl I think of as a little sister has to deal with the consciences…No… I cant let her do this alone.
I'm sorry Alice my love…
I turn to look at her, she knows I'm leaving, her body shakes with dry sobs.
She doesn't understand.
I walk to her, my steps slow but determined. I reach her, I caress her right cheek. I lean down and kiss her lovingly on the lips, oh how soft her lips are.
"I love you…Always" I let go of her and walk past her to the door of the room we once shared.
"I'm sorry, Alice, goodbye."
With that I flit down the staircase ignoring the shouts form my beloved family as I run and run. One place is my destination, Forks. I have to save her from herself.
And I'm the only one who cares enough to do it…
I reach her little blue home in an hour. I briefly think that I just broke Edwards record, but I quickly banish that from my mind as I jump into the tree that grew just outside Bella's window.
I peer inside hoping I'm not to late too save her. Her room was empty and worry began to eat away at my mind as I sniffed the air and tilted my head to the side hopping to hear even the faintest of heartbeats.
Two minutes. Six minutes…
There! I burst off not caring to remain hidden I followed the scent in to the woods that surrounded her home. I followed to a ring of wildflowers.
There she laid in the ring of flowers, her tear stained face gave me the impression of a fairy that had just lost her wings.
Hesitantly I walked toward the ring, and knelt down as I reached its edge. I reached out with my hand and gently stroked her hair.
"Bella…" I whisper, she stirs and opens her big brown eyes, "Jasper" she asked he hand reached up so that her finger tips touched my cheek.
"Hello Bella…My sister"
