Percy POV

I was thinking about that day. September 11, 2001, was the day that the Twin Towers collapsed in New York. I want to explain what happened that day for me.

"Percy, are you okay back there?"

"I'm fine, Mom, just go!"

She looked back at me.

"Please."

"Alright are you sure you want to go, the Towers are very big."

"Yeah, Mom, just go, please."

Then we pulled out of our little apartment and headed for the Towers.

I couldn't believe that I was going to see the Twin Towers. This is so amazing! I heard a plane overhead as we were approaching the Towers.

"Look, Mom, a plane!" I said.

And then the worse imaginable happened. The plane hit the one of the Towers and it exploded. The Tower started to come down and collapse. My mom stopped the car and took off her seatbelt.

"Percy, get out!" she yelled. I reached for my seatbelt and tried to unlatch it. It was stuck.

"Mom, it's stuck! I can't-"

Then the second tower began to fall and it was getting close to where the car was.

"Percy! Hurry!" My mom jumped in the backseat and struggled with my seatbelt. She released it and carried me away from the car. I left my very favorite toy in the car.

"Mom, my toy!"

"I'll get you another one. Right now lets get out of range."

"Mom, I-"

"Percy, don't argue just stop squirming."

I wanted my toy. My favorite one. I will admit, I did sleep with a little toy. It was a toy that my mom got me before I was born. A little fish. I will miss it.

"Bye, Neptune." I said. Farwell to the dead fish crushed by big rock from the debris.

Tears fell down my cheeks. My mom set me down on the sidewalk when we were out of the range of the exploding. A lady came up to us.

"What's the hurry, young lady?" she asked.

My mom didn't look up at her. When she finally did she gasped.

"Percy let's go." Mom said.

"What a handsome son you have, Ms. Jackson." the old lady said.

And my mother grabbed me and we ran back to our apartment.

That's what it was like during 9/11 and when I met my first monster.

A/N I know it kinda sucks. Just thought about it. R&R. And please Honest101 please tell me what's wrong with it SO I CAN FIX IT!
