"Forever and ever..." a familiar said in a hushed tone. I had always dreamed of this day, but I didn't turn around. I never did. Like Shizuru and Hiei had told me, you might never come back.
Suddenly, I cried out. Tears blurred my vision as a soft click, clack sound was heard. The precious gems hit the wooden floor as I covered my face with my hands.
And to my utter shock and disbelief, a pair of warm, strong arms wrapped around my tiny body. Fingers ran through my hair as a free hand had turned me around. I looked up, and I saw you.
"Kurama... You... You kept your promise..." Soft lips met mine as more tears sprang from my eyes. I felt myself heat up as I threw my arms around your neck. I missed you so much...
And, as suddenly as you had answered my cry, you pulled away from me, leaving me beg for more. I stared into your emerald eyes as you smiled sweetly.
"I kept all of my promises, koi," you said softly. I smiled as I pecked your cheek, seeing your cheeks turn a pink color.
"So you did..." We both remained silent until you spoke up, running your fingers through my hair again. I rested my head against your chisled chest as you spoke.
"Yukina... I'll love you forever..." you said in a calm, quiet tone. Feeling light-headed, I buried my face into your shirt, making your beautiful gray muscle shirt wet. After what seemed like forever, I pulled away from your warm chest and I looked at you. Our eyes met as I dared to ask;
"Do you promise?" You closed your eyes lightly and after a few moments, you opened them, your eyes gleaming as your lips parted;
"I promise."
