Chapter 1
The young man and the young maiden sat in the moonlight on the balcony. "Adrian, you know that I can't." She said. "Of course you could be a Ranger, Audrey. You're an orphan who survived an inferno, a Summoner, and you survived a genovian poison bolt with no antidote!" Adrian exclaimed. "I'm not nearly as great. I know of my noble lineage, and you saved me from the bolt. The only thing we have in common is we are Summoners. You are greater than me. In power, in strength, I mean, no one can beat Horace in arm wrestling but you, and in spirit." He finished.
"Fine. We'll do the trials together." Audrey said. "But that, by NO MEANS, means I will willingly take up assignments with you."
"Ah. Well, I tried to convince you, Purr-incess." Adrian sighed playfully. "I'M NOT YOUR PRINCESS!" Audrey screamed, loud enough the nearest cottage residents all shushed them. "Well then, that's settled Audrey," said a booming voice. "I'll sign you both up for Ranger trials. You're both well built to the job." Said Baron Arald.
