Callie has been gone for so long. It only felt like yesterday when Marie was told she would arrive in Calamari County after doing what she needed to do, but it was just roughly six months ago when she went missing. A hand would find its way to Marie's shoulder as Agent three found his way beside her, speaking even if it was for a while.
"I'll find her, Marie. It'll take a while, but I'm sure she'll be found or hope some people have spotted her around. Just go on with your life for now, alright?"
"I don't want to. I want to go out there, find her and bring her back safely!"
She snapped back as she stomped the ground in frustration, her hands in a fist taste before she calmed herself down and stepped away as she crossed her arms under her chest.
"I'm sorry, its just that.. Callie is special. We did a lot of things together as we grew up and it pained me to notice she went missing. So you better.. you better come back with her or with information on where she is, Agent three."
A nod would come from the boy as he left her to be alone, not wanting to bother her any longer and leaving her to do what she wants to do by herself.
"Callie.. I hope you are okay out there. I won't stop looking for you. Just be careful out there for now.."
A year and roughly ten months had passed since the day Callie had disappeared and hardly any information was reported on her. Agent three knocked on Marie's door and waited for an answer from the female, which wasn't too long. The door would open as a smile formed on the boy's lips before he talked.
"I've found some information on Callie. Someone who looked like her was spotted in in Octo Canyon, but I'm not sure if this info is strong or not, but it's better than nothing."
Her ears perked up once she heard this, her heart felt like it skipped a beat or two. Was this true? Callie was finally spotted somewhere? But.. who knew why the girl was there.
"Agent three, I want you to look there right away, post haste."
She felt like her heart dropped a bit when she heard his answer to her.
"I'm sorry, but Cap'n asked me to go on a trip with him before I received the information from a person, so you'll have to go on your own or find someone to help you out. I'm sorry about this, Marie.."
He rubbed his head and lets a annoyed sigh out. Marie was slightly annoyed by this, but she remembered a talk she had with Callie before she went up and disappeared on her. There was a new part in the of the two and new Inklings will be battling it out in the turfs there. Looks like I'll take what I can, Marie thought to herself.
"Go get prepared to help my grandfather out on the trip. He'll be needing a helping hand while he's out there. I think I may have a few ideas on how to get Callie back one day."
"Good luck, Marie. I'll be waiting for the day she'll come back to us safely."
With that, Agent three smiled and took off to get ready to prepare for his trip with Cap't, Marie standing in her silence as she closed her door to think and plan out on what she'll do next.
"You can count on me.."
She muttered to herself before she hit her head against the door and closed her eyes.
A full two years have passed since her cousin had been missing. Agent three and her grandfather went away on the research trip, leaving Marie all alone on her continuous search for the other person she loved like a dear sister.
A soft sigh escaped from the idol's lips as her eyes were scanning the Inkopolis Square, soon spotting a new Inkling girl that had arrived in the square. Thoughts swirled around in her mind when she laid her eyes on lone girl as there was a possible way to use her when it came to , maybe bestow the hour of them being a new agent. Marie would whistle to catch the attention of the said Inkling, turning herself into squid form and going down the kettle and arrived back into Octo Canyon and it didn't take long for the Inkling she had called over to follow.
"Theres a danger out here.. Great Zapfish has been stolen, surely you've noticed right? Will you become Agent four and find out what happened to it?"
She started off, getting to the point right away.
Days later..
"Say, Marie? what are you going to use this for? For a future Turf war? Or something else, like finding Callie? Is this new agent going to find her?"
Sheldon handed over a new Hero Charger to Marie, whom took it from him without hesitation.
"You know the answer already, don't you? You didn't need to ask me that if you did."
"I know, I shouldn't, but I wanted to ask anyways, Marie. I should have my station up and ready for the new agent soon enough to use. I'm finishing up a few last things with it and it'll be ready. I'll contract you later, alright?"
And with that, Marie would take off with the Hero Charger in her arms and to onto the start of the rescue of Marie and the defeat of DJ Octavio.
My take on the events between the first Splatoon and second Splatoon. I hope I did good for my first fan fiction in Splatoon. Anyways, I hope everyone liked it. I'm sorry if Marie is somewhat OOC, but I wanted her to be caring, even if she doesn't show it off to many people or Marie for that matter in this.
