Just as he did every day at 8:30, Fiyero took his seat in a squeaky chair that was too small for him in the back of the room, inhaling chalk dust as he waited. This was of course a rare occurrence, finding himself in class on time and the happening was purely coincidence. However, as he awaited class to begin or for a possible socialization opportunity, something caught his eye.

Hunched over at a desk in the front of the room was that girl with skin as green as skin. The Vinkun prince leaned in closer, his curiosity getting the best of him. Sure, he had seen the girl about, he had heard many a story or rumor about her but there was something about actually meeting her in person and really seeing her that spiked his interest.

Her braid bobbed gently against her shoulder as she furiously scribbled down the notes before class, perhaps to get some extra learning in? He wasn't sure. Fiyero had never been very involved in school.

After only a few moments of watching her, Fiyero picked up the few things he had brought with him to class and crossed to the green girl's desk.

"May I sit here?" Asked he, gesturing to the chair behind her.

Startled, Elphaba leaped out of her chair, brushing her hair out of her face. "Oh, I- um…" She looked down at the chair. "Why are you asking for my permission?" She asked in a strange tone. "What am I? Queen of the classroom? Have a seat Tiggular."

Fiyero's first thought was that the girl was very bossy.

His second thought was that she knew his name. Then again, who didn't? Before he had even set his things down, Elphaba had returned to her notes, scribbling furiously in tiny print. The Winkie took the seat, deciding he was going to find out a little bit more about the strange and bossy green girl. It'd be an adventure.

Fiyero Tigular always had the most wonderful sense of adventure. Little did he know he had just endeavored into the most elaborate, exciting, gratifying and truly brilliant adventure he would ever have.
