Disclaimer: Only Silver, Whirlwind, and Strike belong to me. Everything else belongs to someone else.

Dedication: I don't normally dedicate stuff, but I felt the need to dedicate to someone Very Important in my life. This one's for you, my Lord and Savior, Jesus. I just witnessed the Aurora Borealis, from my home-town in Ohio! Not as fancy as the ones in Alaska, but still absolutely Gorgeous. They were ruby-red with small green streaks.

It had been another successful mission and the Titans were on their way home. They had just stopped another plot by the H.I.V.E and felt the desire to sleep well into the next day. As they walked, snatches of their conversations could be heard, tossed around with the wind. While he was explaining something in an over exaggerated manner to Silver, Beast Boy happened to look up. What he saw there literally stole his breath. His sudden stop caused Strike to run into him from behind.

"What's up, BB?" He asked, regaining his balance. Wordlessly, the green titan pointed to the sky. All the Titans looked to the Navy night, expecting to see multiple stars. They got much more than that. Strike blinked rapidly as Silver's jaw dropped. Cyborg tried to find a scientific explanation while Robin just stood there awe-struck. Raven's eyes grew momentarily, before she regained her posture. Starfire merely hovered in the air clapping gleefully.

To the North, a major portion of the sky was lit up with a brilliant light show. Ruby-reds danced intertwined with green and purples. A faint pink haloed the edges. Towards the center, orange and yellow mixed to create a beautiful gold.

"Aurora Borealis…" Silver whispered. "I've heard of it, but I never thought I'd actually get the chance to witness it."

"Please friend, what is Awe-roar-ah Bore-ee-al-is?" Starfire questioned innocently.

"It's more commonly known as the Northern Lights. It's a reaction to intense sunspots activity. I didn't think you could see it from mainland America. Most sightings occur in Alaska for 7-8 days. The red Auroras are the rarest of them all. There was one up in Alaska on February 11, 1958, which is still talked about today." Silver explained.

"So, we're pretty lucky?" Strike asked softly.

"We're more than just lucky, Strike, we need to treasure this moment forever. I can guarantee it won't happen again in our lifetimes. Or, at least, it is very highly unlikely." Silver grinned and plopped herself down on the ground, then resumed staring at the sky. Seconds later, Cyborg and Starfire joined her. Soon, all the titans were seated on the ground, watching the sky closely. In each of their hearts, they knew they would never forget this moment even if they tried.
