Norway sat on his bed, clutching his pillow in a attempt to stifle his sobs. A few days ago he had been in a horrible fight with Denmark over a stupid reason. They had been out for in that fight and hadn't spoken to each other since. Now it was Christmas, and Norway was alone. He buried his head further into his pillow, since he couldn't stop the tears from flowing.
He paused momentarily at the sound of his phone receiving a text. All things considered, it was probably Ice. His brother had been trying to cheer him up for days now. Oh well, there was no harm in checking it anyways. Norway's eyes lit up in shock. The message was from Denmark, nothing but a simple word. Surprise.
Norway heard a knock on the front door. A knock that he knew all too well. He raced to the door, throwing it open. There stood his beautiful Dane. He was the same as before the fight, his lips turned up in a cocky and cheerful grin. They hugged only for Norway to immediately push him away. He tried to ignore the slight hurt that lingered in Denmark's eyes. "I thought you hated me."
Denmark's eyes softened. " Aw Norge, I could never bring myself to hate you. In fact..." Denmark got down on one knee, pulling out a small box. "This is the real reason I wasn't really home last week. Not because I hated you, but because I wanted to surprise you." He slowly opened the box, revealing a beautiful custom made silver ring. Norway stood speechless in shock.
Before he could recover Denmark continued. "Norway, will you grant me the honor of becoming my partner? The one I'll love forever and spend the rest of my life?" Idiotic hope blazed in his blue eyes.
Tears filled Norway's eyes as he stared at the still kneeling Denmark. "Yes of course. A thousand times yes!" He bent down to hug Denmark and they swiftly kissed. Norway invited him inside where he could spend the day with his Dane. No ones but day that had been horrible turned into the most memorable holiday with the best Christmas Present.
