Chapter 1
"Calvin, I'm not telling you again to get out of bed and get dressed!" cried Calvin's mom. "I don't want to get up, and I don't want to go to school," Calvin replied. "To bad, now get up," she yelled angrily. "Fine," he mumbled. As Calvin got dressed and asked Hobbes to come, they both walked down to the bus stop, where Susie was. "Hey Calvin, how are you doing?" Susie asked. "Fine, until I seen you!" Calvin muttered sarcastically. "What's wrong with you?" Susie inquired. "Leave me alone, Susie Derkins," Calvin grumbled. "FINE, be that way!" Susie yelled. The Bus pulled up and Calvin and Susie got on. Calvin sat in the back seat, and Susie sat in the one right in front of him. "Susie, I'm sorry for getting mad at you, do you forgive me? Calvin said. "Yes," Susie said. "Um, Calvin, Do you want to um, be my, eerrrrrm boyfriend," she said very quietly. "Yeah, I guess, I mean I have liked you for a long time, so I guess that would be cool." The bus stopped in front of the school, and they both got off the bus and walked to class together. The bell rang and they both took their seat.
Dear Susie, I was wondering if you wanted to eat dinner with me and Hobbes tonight?
Calvin As Calvin passed the note to Susie, Mrs. Wormwood started to look back; Susie quickly hid the note in her desk. When Miss Wormwood looked back at the board, Susie opened the note. Dear Susie, I was wondering if you wanted to eat dinner with me and Hobbes tonight?
Calvin
Sure!
