"Who the hell are you? Get away from me!" He tries moving backwards, tries escaping from the strange man in the lab coat with the syringe only to find himself pressed against a wall, heart hammering in his chest.
Kevin laughed again, bright and cheerful as always. "Sweet, lovely Ricardo, you always know exactly what to say!"
"Kevin, please, this- I can make everything better, alright? It'll be perfect again, you'll see! It's better this way!"
The other man doesn't answer. He slides to the floor instead, curling into a ball in an attempt to make himself as small as possible, sobs shaking his body.
Everything was perfect. Everything was always perfect, thanks to StrexCorp. Ricardo smiled, pulling the radio host close. They fit together perfectly.
Kevin looked up with large, empty eyes and smiled, showing off his pointy teeth that were always tinged with red.
Not his Kevin. His Kevin is happy. His Kevin is always happy. He sinks to his knees and grabs both of the slender wrists firmly, but not hard enough to injure.
"Please, please! I'll do anything, just leave me alone!" Kevin screams. He struggles blindly against the doctor, trying desperately to tear himself form the iron grip, beautiful black eyes squeezed shut.
Ricardo couldn't resist that. With a smile on his face, he bent down slightly, covering his boyfriend's mouth with his own.
He shouldn't have waited for so long, he knew. But Kevin hated the medicine StrexCorp so graciously provided him with, even though he would never say as much.
Uncapping the syringe with his teeth, he locates the vein in the other's neck quickly. There's a tiny scar there, he knows, from each time the medication is administered. He pushes the needle in.
Kevin screams.
It was such a beautiful day. The sun was bright in the sky, almost as bright as Kevin's smile. He was happy like this. They both were. Ricardo couldn't stand seeing Kevin upset. Without the drug, Kevin was an entirely different person. He cried and felt pain and Ricardo hated it.
Ricardo watches the yellow liquid drain with a blank expression on his face. A miracle drug. It will fix everything.
Kevin is quiet suddenly, but Ricardo is prepared for the moment he slumps forward, unconscious. He adjusts their positions so Kevin is asleep in his lap and buries his face in the blond hair that still smells of blood.
"I love you."
"I love you too, Kevin."
