Hong Kong Fireworks
'Chinatown, here I come!' As the Foster's bus made its way into Chinatown, Frankie was eagerly excited. Today was the 4th of July and that only meant one thing: fireworks, and lots of it. As Frankie pulled over outside a firework shop, she opened the doors and hopped out. As she walked in, she was greeted by the serviceman there.
'Ah, hello. Welcome to my firework shop. Today is everything 50 off!'
That's just what she needed to hear. As her wallet was a bit short of cash, she grabbed everything she could: rockets, roman candles, whistles, bottle rockets, sparkles… everything. But then she stopped. She stared as she saw the biggest firework ever in her life. But it was $100, and she only had $10 left. She desperately wanted this, as it would be the greatest firework display in the history of Foster's. Quickly, making sure no one was looking, she quickly grabbed the firework and shoved it into her pocket. As she walked out (she paid for the rest), the serviceman was watching her, making sure she hadn't stolen anything. But before Frankie could get to the bus…
'THIEF! SHE STOLE MY BIG FIREWORK!'
'Uh oh!' She quickly ran into the bus, and placed the fireworks onto the seat next to her. She then closed the doors and drove off.
Police cars and motorcycles soon followed. Frankie knew that if she was caught, not only would Foster's would miss out on the fireworks, but she would be punished for stealing the firework. She then had an idea.
'Okay, cops. Time for some slapstick action!' She quickly swerved the bus into a tight corner. As the police cars tried to swerve, one car and a few motorcycles got through, but the others didn't. They ended up crashing into one another.
She turned left and headed down a bumpy road. As she and the fireworks were shaking, so were the motorcycles and soon the riders bounced off and landed on the ground, with their motorbikes crashing into nearby shops and stalls.
Only the police car was left, and it was catching up to her. Frankie started to panic, but then she had one more idea. As she saw the exit, she saw up ahead a tall stone carving. She then took out a rocket, lit it and sent it flying to the stone carving. As she went through the exit, the rocket crashed and the stone carving came crashing down, right on top of the police car.
'All right! Next stop, Foster's.' But she then heard a truck horn. She turned to see a gasoline truck driving towards her. She quickly turned as the gasoline turned the opposite direction, and crashed onto its side. She tried to calm herself down on what had just happened. Not only did she outrun the cops, but she nearly caused an explosion in Chinatown. With no time to think, she drove off, heading back to Foster's.
It was 8:57pm when she arrived, just enough time to get the fireworks out and to the back. She then saw Mr. Herriman waiting for her.
'Well, Miss Francis, you managed to make it in time for once, unlike last year.'
'That was Bloo's fault.'
'Maybe so, but I expect you to be on time as per usual! Now, if you excuse me, I'll be in my office if you need anything.' As he hopped off, Frankie was muttering to herself as she took the fireworks to the other imaginary friends.
It was a hectic day, but it was worth it.
