The Last Page-The Best Underwater Kiss Ever!

They carried us on their shoulders from the dining pavilion to the lake, still close enough that we could hold hands, right up until we were unceremoniously tossed in the water.
"The lovebirds need to cool off!" They yelled.
We hit the cold water with a great splash-I made sure it was extra big and hit most of the campers. I went deeper than Annabeth, and could see her above me, swimming to the surface. I shot up and grabbed her around the waist and pulled her in towards me. She had a look of panic on her face which changed to wonder. Tiny bubbles were quickly collecting on my face and body, merging in getting larger. She watched as bubbles from all directions shot towards me and collected together. I pulled her head into the growing bubble around my head and shoulders and she took a deep breath. "I forgot you could do that-pretty useful trick." She said.
I smiled as I slowly drifted us out deeper into the lake. Finally, we came to a stop. Annabeth looked up through the silvery dome. The late afternoon sky was barely visible far above. Just enough light filtered through the pristine water to illuminate her face. She was still dripping wet and her hair was plastered to the sides of her face, but she was more beautiful than I ever remember her. "Where are we?" She said in a hushed voice.
"Someplace where we can have some privacy-dead center of the lake, fifteen feet down. Hopefully, it will take them a while to find us." She smiled and held me tighter. She had to hold me; I was her anchor keeping her steady in the water. I moved my arms to bring her in closer. Not because I had to, but because, well just because it felt great to hold her. "Now, where were we when we were so rudely interrupted?" I pretended to be deep in thought, and Annabeth giggled. "Oh! I remember! Just…" I leaned in slowly. "…about…" I never did get that last word out.
