Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Snow" from Season 5, with added lines by tate310. Enjoy and comment.
It was wintertime on the Island of Sodor. Snow was covering all the railway lines, causing confusion and delay.
All the engines were working hard, except for Percy, who crashed into a snowbank.
Thomas soon arrived with his snowplow.
"Come on Percy!" said Thomas crossly. "This is no time for resting!"
"But I'm stuck!" replied Percy. "Driver's gone for help!"
Thomas crossly puffed away, leaving Percy by himself.
Later, Thomas had to clear snow by a tunnel.
The snow was very deep, and Thomas was having a hard time clearing it away.
It was so deep, that Thomas soon became stuck!
This made Thomas crosser than ever.
"Snow is nothing but trouble!" he moaned.
Rusty was close by.
"Driver says this is the worse winter ever!"
"How worse could it be?" asked Thomas.
"I'll tell you" replied Rusty, and then the little diesel began telling a story.
One day, Skarloey was working at the slate line by the mountains.
When the snow came, it became difficult to work, so the workmen had to use the snow as a double buffer zones, to prevent cars from skidding down the ravine.
Skarloey was traveling down the line with some empty freight cars.
While Skarloey was traveling, there was trouble at the mines. The gear that pulls the freight cars up and down wasn't working properly.
Soon, Skarloey had reached the ravine. He could see the mine yards up ahead, which were covered with snow.
"That snow sure looks dangerous" said his driver. "We don't want to cause an avalanche, so we'll send out an emergency signal."
Skarloey watched as his driver pressed the emergency signal button. It send out a loud beep, which came from a beacon up ahead.
"Good!" said his driver. "Now we can set off once more, after we drink some nice, hot cocoa."
But trouble was right up above them. A long line of full freight cars were out of control, and were heading towards the gear!
The cars bumped the gear, and they fell down the ravine!
Skarloey and his driver heard the noise, and looked up.
"AVALANCHE!" screamed his driver.
And soon, Skarloey was completely covered in snow! Luckily, no one was hurt!
"Want to hear the funny part?" asked Rusty.
"What's so funny about an avalanche?" asked Thomas.
"Let me tell you what happened next." said Rusty, and then he continued on.
Skarloey was so frozen, that he turned into a igloo!
"Wow!" laughed the driver. "You're one frozen ice cube!"
Soon, they cleared away the ice, and Skarloey felt better.
"One thing's for sure." said Thomas, "you can't trust freight cars.
"Or snow!" added in Rusty.
The workmen had just cleared the snow away from Thomas.
Then Gordon puffed by. He was going so fast, that loads of snow fell from the tunnel up ahead!
"HELP!" cried Gordon.
"Surely a big proud engine like you should manage to survive the snow!" chuckled Thomas.
Nobody said another word. They remained silent as the snow.
