Hey, Caitlinsici here. I just felt like writing some Sam/Jake loveliness.
Sam, Jake. Drabble.
A Nightmare:
He stares at his ceiling, breathing deeply, trying to calm his racing heart. She makes his life miserable during the day, and recently she's begun to haunt his dreams.
It's never the same, the way she dies; sometimes she drowns, sometimes she falls, sometimes he's a second too late. And sometimes, sometimes it's his fault.
A Dream:
She turns on her side, and glances at the picture that sits on the bedside-table. She's smiling, her face round and rosy with immaturity. His arm, strong and muscular even at that age, is around her waist, pulling her snugly to his side. His arm shields her, protects her, keeping her safe (even from herself).
Always:
He knew he was in over his head the first time he met her. She was a trouble maker (or a trouble finder). She was restless, always fidgeting, never staying in one place too long.
But Jake, he was stoic; His gaze never wavered, and his deep voice was always calm as he assessed the situation and fixed her messes.
Sometimes she frustrated him, and it seemed she caused problems on purpose. But in the end, he forgave her. He always forgave her.
R&R please!
