Piper McLean sat on her bunk, in the Aphrodite cabin, crying her eyes out. Her boyfriend, Jason Grace, had just broken up with her. It seemed like he's done it for that Roman, Reyna. Gods,she hated her. Piper had disliked Reyna ffrom the moment they'd met. Now her worst fears had been confirmed.
Jason had broken up with her and a few hours later was kissing Reyna. Her cabin mates had even come up with a ship name for them. Jeyna. Not a single one of her brothers and sisters had bothered to try and make her feel better. They where all two wrapped up in the life of the new couple.
Jeyna. She hated that ship more than any other. It wasn't nearly as good as the one for her and Jason, Jasper. She dried her eyes and glanced at the devil costume lying by her bed.
Everyone expected her to not go to the Halloween dance in a few days time. Well then,she would prove them wrong.
A few days later
Piper walked slowly through the woods with one hand on her dagger. She had chosen to walk out here as there was less chance of meeting people. Earlier she had seen Travis and Katie in a passionate embrace. It had lifted her sprits a bit. They where a cute couple. All of a sudden she spotted something that made her sprits plummet.
Jason and Reyna, kissing. Piper choked back a sob and ran off. She collapsed in a clearing and broke down completely.
"What's wrong Piper?" asked a voice above her. Piper looked up. Jason's older sister, Thalia, stood there.
"Nothing, except for the fact that your brothers a bloody arsehole" Piper replied venomously.
"I know" Thalia said sitting down next to her. "I saw them" she added in response to Piper's questioning glance. Piper just nodded and stared into the distance.
"What can I do now?" she asked after a long slience
"Well, I know you rejected it before but there is always the path I chose" Thalia said pulling a Hunters of Artemis calling card out of her pocket. Piper took it and stared at it for a long time before making a decision.
"I'll do it" she said firmly. Thalia looked at her in surprise.
"Are you There's no going back" Thalia said. Piper nodded a determined expression on her face. Thalia pulled her to her feet and they ran of to find Artemis.
That was the start of Piper's new life as a Hunter of Artemis.
An: There was quite a bit of Jason and Aphrodite campers bashing in that. But it's supposed to be Piper's view of events so Oh well. Tomorrow for Halloween there will be Percabeth and possibly an extra bonus one.
