C.C. was a rare kind of female.

She was, without any doubt, a very beautiful girl; in fact, she was arguably considered the most beautiful girl in the whole student body. Her beauty was so breathtaking, so pure yet so mysterious, that no girl could even dare to compare. With her lime green hair cascading down like a waterfall to the small of her back and her eyes of gold looking past everything and everyone as if they didn't exist. Her hourglass figure, stealing the eyes of all her fellow male students and making their hormones cast an fiery rage inside of them while having most of the female population stare in envy.

With a face and body as blessed as hers was, I assumed that she could probably have any boy she wanted and control his entire being if she wanted to like silly putty in the palm of a child's hands yet she didn't seem to take interest in anyone-correction: she wasn't by any means interested in anyone or anything. Her expression spoke volumes of it and indifference to the world. If she were to be asked out on a date by a A-list celebrity, another rumor that had been circling around by the student body recently, it wouldn't seem faze her one bit.

Yes, she was definitely the rarest female of our species.

She wasn't dumb either. She aced all her class with no problem and never ceased to be my opponent for the highest grade in our class and year but it wasn't anything that more studying could solve; it was all her. Even though I had come to dislike this quality about her, it secretly never ceased to amaze me on how she never payed attention in class yet she seemed to know all the answers. That evil game the teachers played where they picked a distracted student to answer a question, which they always got wrong and were punished for severely, never worked on her. She would turn her head towards the teacher and stand up before answering the question in a calm yet insouciance-like tone, sitting down afterwards and resting her head on her hand, looking out the window as if anything never happened.

And she wasn't one to be crossed either...

She had a nonchalant yet intimidating air about her, never seeming to care about what was happening around her or what anyone said to her. You also had to deal with the people she chose to surround herself with. They were said to live in her neighborhood, which was on the less privileged side of the city, and had a surprising conflict with C.C. which ended with her slapping their head leader. In the end, they had a deep respect for her quiet yet cold demeanor and devoted their loyalty to her. A true alliance.

Yeah, you could say that I've watched her for a while.

Its not that I have an obsession with her. I've just heard so many rumors about her that I couldn't help but wonder sometimes. My curiosity seems to climb to new heights when it came to this girl. But I, Lelouch, never really believed in such nonsense. I came to the conclusion that she wasn't what people said she was. Shes human just like the rest of us, only she has created a bearer around herself. Almost as if she didn't want to expose herself to anyone. And maybe she had a reason for not paying attention in class or to anyone else for that matter. Almost like she had more important things to worry about. She just seemed...different.

But what I didn't know was that she was watching me too, waiting patiently as she plotted for the right time to make her move as an individual would when playing chess, waiting for the perfect opening as to where they can finally move their game piece.

And the day she finally made her move was the very day that our fates began to collide in a way that you could never pull them back to where they once were no matter how hard you tried. Once we learned that, we knew our once known fate would never be the same.

Our paths were had become magnets that someone, which was fate, was slowly pushing closer together until they suddenly crashed into one another at a lightening speed, no longer needing that extra push from the person. And the only thing to blame for it was both of the magnet's attraction for each other.

Because, as the laws of attraction state, opposites attract...
