William awoke on a cold, stone floor. His bright purple irises were revealed as his eyes slowly opened. It took him a few seconds to realize that he was no longer in his room. William began to panic for a second before he managed to calm himself with a will that was unnatural for an eleven year old. Looking around, William studied his surroundings. He noticed that the walls and floor were made out of hard grey stone. A quick glance up revealed that there was no ceiling and that it was early morning. Taking another look around, William noticed that each wall had a door way leading to another room. As his gaze returned to the wall in front of him, William noticed a wooden sign that had bright silver words painted on it. William walked forward until he was close enough to read what was written on the sign aloud: 'you have one hour to finish the maze. Also please try to avoid touching the ivy. Good Luck!' As soon as he finished reading the message, William grinned. "There's nothing like a good challenge!" he thought to himself. William looked at the four doors before turning around and heading towards the one furthest from him. But, before he was able to take a step into the next room, a long, gold and purple vine shot down in front of William and then wrapped itself around his waist just as quickly. William barely had enough time to think 'Uh-Oh' before a brief jolt of electricity was discharged from the vine wrapped around his waist, quickly rendering him unconscious.
