Luke Duke was driving back to the farm from a night out on the town and it was really late it was that strange time at night when it is still kinda light out , not yet dark to make matters worse Luke was starting to get really tired but he did his best to try and stay awake.
Unfortunately all of sudden a deer stepped out into the middle of the road Luke hit it and then he started going out of control suddenly the general went airborne and it landed upside down unfortunately O'l Luke was laying still as a stone inside the General Lee the windsheild was cracked and Luke had a cut on his forehead , he blood coating down his face , he was bruised up some.
Meanwhile back over at the farm The Dukes was just finishing when Uncle Jesse heard a knock on the door so he got up an was surprized to see Enos standing their he couldn't help but notice tears in his eyes.
" Howdy Enos would like some supper ?". asked Jesse
" No sir Uncle Jesse I ain't that hungry ". said Enos
Jesse could tell by the look on Enos's face that this ain't no social visit ".
" Uncle Jesse I got some rather bad news for you ". said Enos
" It's about Luke ". said Enos
" Luke well he's in bed fast asleep now ". said Jesse
" No disrespect sir but Luke ain't in bed ". said Enos
" Well where the heck is he at then ?". asked Jesse
" He's in a ambulance headed for Tri-County Hospital ". said Enos
" I found him on the side of the road he was unconcious , soaked to the bone. ". said Enos
" Thanks Enos I'll head on over their right away ". said Jesse
Enos slowly made his way back to his patrol car while trying to keep the tears at bay
but it was so hard and he was silently praying that the lord would let Luke stay.
Meanwhile the ambulance was just now arriving at Tri-County hospital and their were unloading Luke
he had a breathing mask over his nose and mouth on account of his breathing was shallow , not to mention
he was still out like a light then he was immidently rushed into the ER an layed on a bed ".
The doctor on duty wasted no time in getting over to Luke's bed the first thing he did was check out
Luke's pupil response and so he lifted it up his right eyelid and he shined the light in got no response
Then he put it back down then he told his nurse to write down " comatose , nonresponsive , possible concussion".
Then once he was done with that he checked his breathing and it was shallow so he told his nurse to write
down possible broken possible ribs then once he was all done checking Luke out he figured he would
make his way down to the waiting room while Luke was being setup in the ICU department.
Meanwhile Uncle Jesse was breaking the speed limit on getting to the hospital on time
finally he arrived then he went and took a seat in the waiting room time seemed to pass slow
he seemed to be waiting for what seemed to be like forever until he heard some footsteps".
" I'm looking for the family of Luke Duke ?". said doc
" I'm his uncle how is my boy ?". asked Jesse
" Hi Mr. Duke my name is Dr. Waters I will be Luke's primary caregiver while he is here". doc said
" How is he ?". said asked Jesse
" Well unfortunately Mr. Duke I wish I had better news for you but Luke has a moderate concussion , some broken ribs ". said Doc
" He'll be okay though right ?". asked Jesse
" Well we hooked him up to a ventilator pump to help with his breathing ". said doc
" Unfortunately he slipped into a Coma I'm so sorry ". said Doc
" Oh... my poor boy ". said Jesse
" Can I see him ?". asked Jesse
" their still getting him setup in the ICU when their done you can ". said Doc
Then the doc left Jesse to his thoughts about how he was gonna break the news to Bo, Daisy.
