Summary Zuko and Mai break up
He stormed off. Temper flaring. No longer could he stand her lack of passion. Yet in a fit of a passion for her she reacted raising her voice to tell him that he has gone too far. He was no longer her boyfriend.
But he had not gone far enough. His anger was not at her. He still loved her. His anger was at himself. For what he was. For what he had done. For what he could not do.
He had hoped to make her feel the same passion that he felt, but his passion only burst forth in the form of anger. His temper flared like an inferno burning all his bridges behind him.
All he could hope that someone or something would be left for him when he finished. He wanted to feel love for Mai. He wanted to feel anything, but all he felt was anger at what he had become.
