This is a little side story that goes along with my story The Family Portrait, which is a sequel to The Last Potters, which has a prequel called Pink Hearts or Blue Stars, which is a fabulous Valentines Day story. PHBS is still even understandable if you haven't read any of my other stories…even this one, which would probably be confusing to anyone who hasn't read TLP or TFP. Anywho, please read! Dang I put a lot of which's in there huh?

"Alyssa!"

"Mph"

"Alyssa!"

"Mpphhh!"

"Alyssa get up!"

"G'way."

"No! Get up!"

"Alex it SIX in morning."

"Fine, I'll go play in the snow by myself then."

"Wait…What?" Alyssa asked, eyes opening wide.

"Yeah! Snow!!" Alex responded excitedly.

"Oh yeah, what about it? It started before we went to bed." Kaida answered walking in the three of theirs room brushing her wet hair.

"What!" Alex and Alyssa yelled in unison.

"Uh…I'm sorry?" Kaida answered looking completely confused as to why they were yelling at her brush frozen halfway through her hair.

"Why didn't you tell us??" Alyssa asked jumping out of bed and rushing to the closet while Alex searched through her dresser.

"Because it's just snow…."Kaida said still frozen watching the two of them pull out massive amounts of clothes and throwing them on the floor or putting them on haphazardly.

"Exactly!" yelled Alyssa.

"Get dressed faster Alyssa! You're wasting perfectly good snow time!" Alex called pulling an undershirt on and a long sleeve shirt at the same time.

"I'm getting dressed as fast as I can!" Alyssa called putting on her third pair of socks. Kaida just sat down on her bed trying to figure out why the two of them were so excited about snow, then suddenly she remembered.

"Oooh…ok, that's right apparently it never snows in southern California…"

"Aw, I love that song!" Alyssa said then started to sing, "Seems it never rains in southern California…."

"Nope, we haven't seen snow in like three years!" Alex said grabbing her jacket.

"No! Two years, ten months, and seventeen days." Alyssa corrected as she put on a pair of dragon hide gloves Harry had given her a week previous.

"Wow," Kaida said slowly amazed at how excited they were, especially for two who usually freak out if they're awakened before ten in the morning. She watched as her two best friends ran out of the room very excitedly, Alyssa putting a hat on and Alex wrapping her scarf around her neck.

November 1, 2007

6:27 a.m.

Dear Gred and Forge,

Alyssa and I won't be at work today. You two might want to come and watch. Alex and Alyssa are awake and out of the house before six thirty, just because of the snow. They've already made 20 snow angels a piece, threw snowballs at Harry and Ron's window, got Ron in the face with a snowball when he opened the window to yell at them, and even got Remus to join them in a snowball fight. .

-You're employee that isn't currently attempting to make a snowman in the likeness of Hagrid.

P.S. Bring a camera and plenty of film.
