John made his way the infirmary to see Ronon when he arrived and without a word spoken Sheppard handed Ronon the sword Tyre had handed to him. As John turned and walked out, Ronon reached for the sword, unsheathed it slowly and looked at it thoughtfully before laying it gently across his chest. When he heard the sound of the sword being removed from it scabbard Sheppard looked back over his shoulder at his friend knowing that, in time, Ronon would want to know what had happened to Tyre.
It wasn't until a few weeks later, while working out in the gym, when Ronon looked at John silently as if contemplating what he wanted to ask. John knew that he was ready and that Ronon needed to hear the truth of what happened, besides what he'd been told weeks ago.
John stopped his set and put the weights down. He turned, wiping his face with a towel and walked over to the bench by the window. He sat down heavily and looked at Ronon. "Hey Buddy, come over here" he said, gesturing for Ronon to join him. "I know you need to know the truth, and I know that up until a few weeks ago you believed Tyre was a traitor. However, you need to know, that after what he had done to you… he tried to make amends by doing the right thing." Ronon listened as John began then walked over to stand in front of him. He looked down at his friend as Sheppard continued. .
"After you and the Wraith took us, I really did believe that Tyre had gone back on his word, so he could get back in good favor with the Wraith. We were tossed in a cell and sometime later Tyre came for me, to bring me to the Wraith to be turned to. As we were walking back to the chamber where you and the Wraith were waiting, he took me to where the weapons were at, and we got them back to the team. It was Rodney and Teyla that got Lorne and his team out. They came to rescue us and the rest you already know. If it wasn't for Tyre, Ronon, we'd all be lost. That, my friend, is the rest of the story. Tyre wasn't a traitor and that you can believe in again."
Ronon looked at John and nodded his head, understanding what his friend had just told him. He turned away and walked out of the gym, realizing he still had a lot of thinking to do.
