Did she just kiss him? Patrick wasn't sure? The mere fact that she was trusting him was enough to amaze him. But this, this was mind blowing. Patrick wouldn't deny that he still had feelings for Emily but he thought her feelings for him had been gone for along time.
Maybe kissing him had just been a weakness of Emily's emotions or an odd reaction to the days events. Then it hit him that he had kissed Emily back and she was still staring at him. Probably expecting an apology Patrick thought.
"I'm sorry Em, I shouldn't have done that."
"What do you mean? I was the one who kissed you."
"Yeah I know. But I kissed you back."
"I know. But don't be sorry."
"Huh?"
"I like it."
"Huh?"
" Patrick I love you! I've been denying my feelings for a long time but I can't deny that I love you."
Patrick didn't know what to say. She loved him! The idea was paralyzing so he said the only thing he could think of.
