Disclaimer: I'm not brilliant enough to own Doctor Who.

A/N: So, I recently watched the Shakespeare Code, and fuck this idea wouldn't leave me. I really liked Shakespeare! C'mon, who doesn't think he would be an awesome companion!

Doctor Who

Well, I never break promises. Never. It's bad luck, and there's a reason why breaking promises is what always leads to the hero's downfall.

"Is that a promise doctor?" I may not have confirmed it, but a sort of promise is a promise, and it would be bad luck not to go back and have that flirt.

Haven't had a good male companion in awhile. There was Jack, but that was quite awhile ago and I never got around to shagging him anyways.

And Will had nice hair. I love a genius with good hair, and well who wouldn't want to help the bard find a bit of inspiration?

Doctor Who

A blue box materializes under an arch, as you hope that you got the time right. It would be a shame to come upon a Shakespeare you haven't met yet, and bard might not be very keen to travel if he's elderly.

Well, maybe Shakespeare never actually asked for a ride but hey, you never made the offer.

"Will! Hey Will!" He turns around. There is instant recognition in his eyes, and Shakespeare grins. "Blimey, how longs it been?"

"A year. And you don't appear to have changed." Will looks you up and down with a glint in his eye, and your internal fan boy does a little dance of delight. The genius likes you!

"Well, it's been longer for me. Anyways I was wondering, how would you like a trip to Freedonia?" His eyes sparkle, and you grin widely.

It has been awhile since you had a male companion. And more to the point, since you've had a good shag. Will certainly doesn't seem the type to mind a brief fling, just a few trips to the future and perhaps the past.

Right. That's what you told Martha too, and see how long you kept to that.

"Why Doctor, I would be delighted. You can of course, bring me right back? I don't want to disappoint the audiences."

"No problemo! We can pop out to the moon and then be back in time for your show. C'mon!" Shakespeare hurries after you as you race back to the tardis.

"But now? I have to pack, to find pen and paper…" You do a 360 to face him, cross your arms, and roll your eyes.

"What, d'you think you can't find all that on my spaceship?" Will bursts into laughter. "I'm serious!"

" Then what are we waiting for?" You bound away and he follows you, screeching to a halt in front of the tardis.

"What is this?" You grin. One of the best parts of having a companion is watching them react to the inside of the tardis. "It's tiny! Not that I mind the close quarters, but how do you intend to travel in time?"

"Why don't you step inside?" He eyes you uncertainly and steps in. You follow, and see his expression. It isn't so disbelieving as Martha or as freaked out as Rose. It's inspired, as if he's already composing a sonnet.

"My dear Doctor…this is fantastic." You grin, and know that this companion is going to one of the most fun. After all, who wouldn't want to travel with Shakespeare?

Doctor Who

So…what think? Not very long I know, but I have a final tomorrow. Reviews please!
