Wing Key
By: Hikari Maiden
Satoshi Hiwatari sat in his black, leather, cushioned computer chair at his desk, his laptop in front of him. His hands moved along the computer keyboard and his lithe fingers did a feather-like dance as he pushed the computer keys and used the mouse pad to scroll and clicked the mouse buttons below the mouse pad.
Damou Sahika abruptly appeared behind him, concern written all over her face and in her light, blue eyes. I'm so scared it hurts. Why must he do this? "Satoshi. Don't work yourself to death."
He flatly told her, "I have to do my job."
She reached over and placed her hands on his arm. This is too much. "Please. I beg you."
Huh? She's trembling? He looked up at her and noticed a grin and her eyes were closed. She's trying to hold back tears. She's nervous. Does she think I'm going to slap her? Does she think I'm going to yell at her to shut up and leave me alone? He sighed. "I'll take a break."
She opened her eyes. "Thank-you."
There are tears in her eyes. He took her hands in his. "There's no need to cry. I'm all right."
I can't hold back anymore. It's too scary and it hurts too much. Her eyes squeezed shut and tears fell from her eyes and slid along her cheeks and chin. She sniffled and sobbed as she wrapped her arms around him and pulled him close. "Oh, Satoshi! You're such an idiotic moron! You're so stupid! You don't have to prove anything! You're already valued!"
He stared at her with wide eyes. His eyes softened and trembled and he wrapped his arms around her. He gently placed his cheek on her head. She really cares about me from the bottom of her heart.
She felt her body begin to weaken and her eyelids began to feel heavy. Oh no! My body! She opened her eyes a little and she struggled to say his name. She sighed and she mumbled, "Satoshi…"
Did she mumble my name? He looked at her with confusion. "Hm?"
Her knees buckled and she began to fall towards Satoshi. Ah! Too late! I'm extremely embarrassed! I feel so guilty!
Before she could slip down towards the floor and crash against the floor, Satoshi caught her. He looked at her with concern as he tried to hold her up. "What's wrong?" She looks ghastly pale.
She looked at him with heavy eyelids and a weak smile as she told him in a weak voice, "Don't…worry…"
Tears gathered in his eyes. "You're so pale and so weak. It scares me."
Her voice weaker, she told him, "Don't…cry…" Her eyes closed and her body began to emit a warm, pink light. Her voice whispered in Satoshi's ears. "Good-bye, Satoshi. Always remember, you're the only one." The warm, pink light faded and completely vanished.
Satoshi stared at Damou Sahika. Why does this happen? He whispered, "No…She can't be…" A miniature, stone key caught his eyes. Hm? What's this? He heard Damou Sahika whisper in his ears, "This is a gift I left behind for you. Don't allow it to fall into the wrong hands." What is it? "The Wing Key. It's a magical artwork that allows you to separate from Krad and combine back with him and combine with Dark and Daisuke and separate back from them. This also allows you to transform into me and back." So, that's what happened? "Satoshi. I want you to know. You're the only one. There's no one else. I did it for you."
Hikari Maiden: I hope you liked it! ^.^
