Dares close call by Emily Gagne
On Monday June 22 2010 at 5:00 Rachel Elizabeth Dare age 16 collided with a truck going 100 mph. The crash was at Central park Manhattan New York. No one knows exactly what happened but the police suspect brake failure and drunk driving.
Later that day Rachel's friend claims that "she's an alcoholic. She never stops". The police arrived at the scene at 5:24 and Rachel arrived at the hospital at 5:43. After several ex rays doctor. William .j. says that there are three broken ribs, one broken leg, and brain injuries. The truck driver is unharmed. Sources say she will stay in the hospital for three months. She was driving to summer camp.
