When Miles Edgeworth woke up that morning, he had certainly not expected to find Iris Hawthorne in his bed...completely naked. He just stared at her for a few seconds as his mind tried to convince him that this was all nothing but a rather erotic dream he was having. Unfortunately...Edgeworth wasn't that stupid to fall for that.

"What...are you doing in my bed?"

Iris sat up and smiled at the silver-haired prosecutor, as if nothing was wrong with the current situation. "Well, my dear Feenie...he's in love with that von Karma girl, so...I thought we could get together..." Edgeworth's eyes widened in shock. He had no idea about there being a relationship between Phoenix and Franziska! Of course...he had never bothered to ask them about it either, but still...

"GET OUT OF MY BED, WOMAN!" Edgeworth exclaimed as he quickly climbed out of bed and got dressed before Iris could see his special teddy-bear underwear, "HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET IN HERE, ANYWAY?" Iris crawled out of the bed as well and got dressed herself, making sure Edgeworth wasn't peeking (He only did it once).

As Iris started to brush her hair, she replied, "That nice detective gave me the keys into your apartment. He told me that you'd probably be glad to see me, especially since I just got out of jail and everything..." Edgeworth couldn't quite put his finger on it, but for some reason Iris seemed a bit...different today. 'Maybe it's because she got in my bed completely nude by her own free will!' Edgeworth wondered.

Suddenly, another question came to Edgeworth's mind. Glancing over at Iris, he asked, "Why...if you were upset about Phoenix and Franziska...did you choose me of all people? I'm nothing special..." Iris started blushing out of nowhere when Edgeworth presented her with this question. "You see, Mr. Edgeworth...during the time you were my defense attorney, you were so kind to me...you said you had complete trust in me and my words...even though I lied to you...I'm realy impressed by that, you know..."

Edgeworth couldn't keep a grin from forming on his normally-stoic face. Thinking back to that trial, he really did try and put 100 belief in Iris' words...how foolish he had been...

Edgeworth slipped on his shoes and started to tie them before saying, "Look...I'm not mad at you for this, Iris. It was just...really unexpected. I...I..." However, Edgeworth found himself lost for words. He really didn't know the right thing to say to a situation like this. It upset him greatly that he could lose track of himself like this.

Suddenly, Iris walked over and wrapped her arms around his chest, hugging him tightly. Pressing her face against her back, she breathed on Edgeworth's neck as she whispered, "It's okay...you can hate me if you want...as long as I can keep loving you..." Edgeworth didn't say anything as he continued to stand there, his body shaking...

When an odd, yet sudden, possibility formed in his mind.

"...You're just doing this to get back at Wright...aren't you?"

"...Maybe..."

"Heh...I guess you learned some things from Dahlia, I see..."

"Keep up that quick intellect of yours, Mr. Edgeworth...and I may just end up falling in love with you for real..."

"As if..."
