This is a really short story.

Sometimes, there are moments that change your life forever. Moments that unexpectedly twist your future. These moments happen in most unexpected situations, but, if you are waiting for one of them, they will probably never come...
"What is this?" said a suspicious Petunia gazing at a strange letter in her hand.
She read the name it was addressed to, gasped, then yelled "Lily, Lily! I think this is for you".
Suddenly a red-headed girl in a striped pajamas ran down the stairs, her green eyes fixing her sister.
"Yes, sis?" she asked while, still sleepy was rubbing her eyes.
"This letter has your name on it" Petunia answered. She examined the letter another time, then asked with one of her best suspicious tones. "Did you sign up for some special middle school?"
In fact Lily turned eleven a few months ago, she couldn't wait for the summer vacations to end and start her new life in middle school.
"I-I-didn't" she stammered "How, do you know it's a school?"
"Well, look at the stamp" Petunia answered.
In fact, on the letter there was a big, red stamp with four symbols on it. The first was a lion, the second a snake, the third a rate and the last a crow.
"It's weird" said Lily while a cold shiver was going through her.
"Yes, indeed" said Petunia .
They stared at the letter for a while then, Lily finally said "Well, let's open it,shall we?"
"Your letter, your decisions" said Petunia while handing the letter to Lily.
Lily cautiously opened the letter, it smelled like old scroll, in fact it was a scroll, yellowed from the years.
"What does it say?" asked Petunia.
While reading the letter Lily's eyes widened. When she was done she handed the letter to Petunia and started to stare blankly in the empty space.
A puzzled Petunia started to read aloud the letter written in a neat, thin handwriting:
" Dear Ms. Lily Evans
We are glad to inform you that this , will be your first year at Hogwarts,
School of Wizardry and Witchcraft.
The equipment you will need is the following:
A wand
A cauldron
School uniform
The following books: History of Magic, Magic today, The first guide to potions, How to ride a broomstick and Creatures that populate our world.
You are allowed to bring a pet, such as a cat, a spider, a toad or an owl.
You may find these things in Diagon Alley.
The train that will lead you to school will depart in September 1st in the platform 9 3/4.

When she was done she stared at her sister in shock.
"This is a joke," she whispered "This cannot, absolutely be true."
...
Two months later Petunia was sitting alone in the car in front of the train station.
And that is when she realized that it wasn't a joke at all. Everything had happened so fast. She thought that she should be the chosen one, she should go to that school.
Wet tears were now coming down from her eyes, making her cheeks wet and landing on her clothes. Her hands fast turned into fists. She thought that she actually didn't want to be a freak like her sister, yes, from now on she was going to have a really good life, much better than her sister's. She was going to demonstrate that her life could be like a fairytale also without magic.
This, is one of the moments that changed both Lily's and Petunia's life for ever.
I must tell you that, well, Petunia waited for a letter, and she is still, that never, ever arrived.
I know, it was horrible, wasn't it?
