Once the case was over and the little girl was returned back to her parents, it had bugged Danny the entire time. He had remembered when Rick Peterson had taken his little girl, it killed him to know that someone had his baby girl. How could someone be so cruel and cold hearted to use a child?
That day kept replaying in his head over and over sometimes. Once he finally got his little girl back that day he had felt so relieved that she wasn't hurt. He was driving in his Camaro to pick Grace up from cheer practice, he had called Rachel and asked if he could spend some time with her beforehand.
When Rachel had heard Danny's voice she knew it was a bad case and she let him have Grace for the night. He was just pulling up to the school and saw a group of girls practicing their cheer routines. Grace looked over to see her dad there so she broke away from the group.
"Danno? What are you doing here?" Grace asked.
"I thought when you're finished we could order some pizza and have a movie marathon". Danny answered.
"I have to ask mom".
"She said it was ok".
"Are you sure you're alright Danno?"
"I'm fine Monkey". He gave her a reassuring smile.
The young girl had went back to finish her cheer practice, after about 15 minutes the girls were finished and began to call their parents. Grace went back to her father and the two got in the car driving away.
"Did you have a bad case today?" Grace asked.
"Yeah but now that I saw you, my day isn't so bad anymore". Danny replied.
"I love you Danno".
"I love you too Monkey. I love you so much".
Once the father and daughter arrived at the house they went inside, Danny had ordered the pizza while Grace picked some movies. After the pizza was ordered the two cuddled up on the couch and began watching some movies.
The pizza had finally arrived Danny paid the delivery man then went back to his little Monkey. 3 movies later, Grace was fast asleep in her father's side hugging him. When Danny saw his baby girl next to him he had a small smile. He felt like the luckiest man ever to have such a special little girl like Grace, he leaned down to kiss her head then carried her to her room laying her on the bed covering her up.
"Sweet dreams baby, Danno loves you". He kissed her head one last time.
Danny was glad that he still had his little girl with him and nothing won't ever change that again.
