"Oh, Rena! It is wonderful! It's beautiful!" Lacie Freid cried as I pulled up to my newly bought home.

"Yeah, and it's huge too." Grace sighed as she looked up at the looming Victorian mansion in front of her, "Why is it that you two have to have all the good things in life? Serena, you have the body, and the boyfriend. Lacie, you're married and pregnant. With your second child! Here I am, not even able to lose five pounds on weight watchers and I cannot even have a freaking kid!"

I wrapped my arms around my friend and comforted her, "Gracie, it will all happen for you one day. I promise you. It was one miscarriage; you'll find another man someday. Then you and whoever it is will have a whole lifetime ahead of you to have children."

I led them into my house and gave them a tour. "And finally, the part you've both been waiting for," I threw open the double doors that opened into the kitchen, "the kitchen. It isn't that great, but we're fixing it up. Anyways, the best part of it is this."

We rounded a corner and saw a wall full of wine. There was white wine, red wine, French wine, and almost every other type of wine you could think of. There was a stainless steel mini fridge loaded with beer and coolers. Grace took a beer and popped it open. The smell was intoxicatingly delicious. I snatched another one out of the fridge.

"Poor Lacie. I would die if I was you. No alcohol for nine months! That's crazy." Grace shook her head, pretending she was fine.

Lacie glanced at me uneasily. We both knew how much pain Grace was in. A few months ago she had had a terrible miscarriage. She had wanted a child so badly that it broke her heart in a million pieces. It didn't help that her boyfriend Dan hadn't stuck around after it happened. She had been so madly in love with him, too. So she fell apart, and since Lacie and I were her best friends, we were there to put her back together again. Sort of like humpty dumpty. The only way that Grace kept herself together still, was acting like she was feeling great. Lacie and I knew how it really was, though. She was torturing herself over it. All she'd ever wanted was somebody to love. And she'd lost her chance.

"It's fine." Lacie replied quietly. "Do you want to start unpacking you're car, Rena?"

I nodded and followed them to my jeep. Just as I was pulling out boxes for us to carry inside a black truck swung to a stop in the driveway. "Hey sweetie. How was you're day?" Jeremy Grant pulled me into his arms.

I inhaled the sweet smell of him. I pulled back to admire him. He was tall, about six foot two, with sandy blonde hair and liquid blue eyes. He was muscular and smelled of wood chips and sawdust. We had been dating for eleven months and I still hadn't gotten over his beauty. I smiled, "It was only great, until you showed up."

He pulled away, "That makes me feel wonderful." He replied sarcastically, shaking his head and turning to the jeep to grab a box.

I hung on to his arm and kissed him on the cheek, "If you would have let me finish you would have heard me say that now it is amazing. I love you Jeremy Grant."

He looked at me apologetically, pulling me toward him gently. He embrased me passionately, a long warm kiss.

Grace was annoyed, she made a clucking noise in the back of her throat.

Jeremy laughed, "I love you, Serena Laurel."

AND MAKE MONEY OFF OF IT. MAYBE I WILL MAKE A CAREER OUT OF THIS ONE DAY. ANYWAY, TELL ME IF YOU LIKED IT. OR IF YOU HATED IT.
