Orihime in Hueco Mundo Land
Disclaimer and Apologies: Apologies to Lewis Carroll for me stealing and making a mess of Alice in Wonderland. Haven't read the book in years, so its what my warped mind has made of my memories! Bleach chars are the property of tite kubo.
Another fic written in the bath on 10th July 2009. Gathering ideas now for a second chapter
"This day gets curiouser and curiouser" Orihime said to no-one but herself as she walked towards the raucous laughter.
It had been hours since she'd found herself intruiged by the white-faced man "Oh my wings and tail, I'm late" he stated and moved swiftly into the tunnel. She remembered she was fascinated by his looks and statement, especially as he pulled out a large gold pocket watch from the folds of his pristine robes and tapped it a few times, before hiding it again.
Orihime knew she should be studying for school, but couldn't help but follow this man into the tunnel. Now she stood at the entrance to a high walled garden. In front of her was a long table, the man at the head of the table was pouring tea from a rather large teapot, she cautiously walked towards them. "Come sit and join our tea party. Would you like a cup of tea or two?"
Orihim found an empty seat and sat down. She then became aware of a chilling smile watching her. She stared at it for a while.
"Tea? Pass your cup." The man at the head of the table broke her concentration.
"Oh, right, yes." Turning to her host, she passed the cup. "Who are you?"
"I'm Aizen, most people call me the Mad Hatter." he smiled at her
"and the smile?" She warily looked at it
"That's cheshire Gin."
"His smiling's creeping me out" Gin faded into view. Orihime wasn't sure that he was less creepy in view
"And you are?" Aizen asked.
"Oh, I'm Orihime."
The teapot lid moved aside. Orihime jumped up from her seat. "There's something in the teapot."
Aizen didn't look up from his cake, "that'll be GrimKitty, he likes to sleep in there." He tapped the side of the pot heavily with his fork "he won't be sleeping much after that!"
"That's horrible, he could drown in there." She got up and helped the sleepy form of GrimKitty out of the teapot and onto the table, whereas he promptly fell asleep again.
Just then the white-faced man rushed passed.
"Oh no you don't!" Aizen hooked his arm and stopped him. "Tea Time! Come join us - we're just about to move places!"
"But I'm late, I can't hang around." The watch was shown again.
Aizen grabbed the watch, "no wonder you're running late - this watch is wrong, never fear I can fix it!" He levered off the back with the tip of his sword and pulled out some cogs. He put the back on it. "Here, GrimKitty, play with the watch" He threw it down the table where it landed with a 'plop' in the teapot.
"Oops. Oh well. Time for tea - who's for another cup?"
The white-faced man fished the broken watch out of the tea and looked at it morosely "that was a present too." He slid off unnoticed into the shadows. Orihime got up, the tea party was still in full swing and no-one noticed her leave. She followed the white-faced man eager to find out who he was and where he was going to.
