Christmas Ball

"Come on guys. My mum is waiting!" Said the bushy brunette to the two boys. "Typical." she muttered to herself.

Hermione's mother had offered to take Hermione, Ron and Harry to muggle London to see the sights and get some last minute outfits for the Hogwarts Christmas Ball.

When the boys finally made it down to the Gryffindor common room the trio raced off to find Hermione's mother.

After what seemed like an age they arrived in London. Both Harry and Ron were shocked at how big it was. Ron having never been to a muggle city before and Harry staying in privett drive except for the one time when they went to the zoo for Dudley's birthday.

Once agreeing to meet Mrs Granger at Waterloo station at 4:00 they set off.

"Oh Harry look! It's a massive Ferris wheel!" Ron exclaimed pointing at The London Eye.

"No silly! It's the london eye. It's slow and used for seeing london from above. Quite frankly I think its a waste of money." Said Hermione dismissively.

"what about that huge house where the old lady lives?"

"you mean the queen" said harry whilst laughing.

They saw the changing of the guard at Buckingham palace, walked round Covent Garden and got a sandwich from PrĂȘt manger [Author note- other sandwich shops are available]

It was only then they realised they had only an hour and a half left and hadn't even begun considering what to do about outfits for the Christmas ball. As luck would have it they found a dress shop right next to a suit shop.

Hermione was immersed in a world of sequins, glitter and chiffon. After a lot of deliberation she settled for a strapless floor length red gown with silver sequins on the neckline and that criss crossed down the bodice.

She met the boys outside. They had both chosen traditional black dress robes.

They rushed off to waterloo station and were back at Hogwarts in time for dinner.
