Taking the elevator always caused Cat some stress. But since she was certain her assistant had checked the maintenance every week, she usually managed to ignore her claustrophobia. However, Kara did not check it in a while though due to being rather preoccupied working as a supergirl aswell. It just so happened that Kara and her beloved boss met on their way to Catco and the two were now standing together in the small steel box.

"Oh, good morning Ms Grant, here's your latte!" Kara said handing her boss a cup like she does every morning. "Must you really talk so loud before I even have my coffee?" Cat rolled her eyes, taking a large gulp of the brown liquid, waiting impatiently for the elevator doors to open. Kiera giggled which earned only a slight eyebrow raise from the older woman. "Sorry Ms Grant, I just thoug..." a loud bang cut her off and suddenly the elevator stopped.

Cat's eyes went wide. "PLEASE, do NOT tell me we're stuck in this airless box, Kiera!" she stared at the young girl with her lips parted. "Erm. Well yeaaah no.. nope I uhm well.. Ms Grant y'see I uh... Maybe?" "mAYBE?" Cat gasped, her face steaming with anger but fore mostly, with anxiety. Her hands started shaking and with trembling in her voice she added: "When. Kiera. Did you. Check.. The maintenance..?" Her eyes now closed and her breathing became shallow. "Oh not THAT long ago... um. 4 weeks?" Kara said with her puppy eyes, preparing for the worst. But to her surprise Cat just sighed. And then she saw a single drop of tear streaming down her bosses face, her eyes shut tight with embarassement.

And Kara didn't know what to do but to hug her. She could feel Cat tense at the contact at first but then soon relaxing into the embrace. Kara's hand was curled up in her blonde locks, another rubbing her back gently. Cat soon stopped crying only whimpering once in a while. Kara wondered if she could open the doors with her super powers without Cat seeing her, but let go of that option as she realized it wouldn't work. So instead, she just kept holding her in her arms until she felt the petite woman pulling away. She was now face to face with her, her hand still tangled in Ms Grants hair. And she looked so very fragile, Supergirl thought, and so beautiful. Her nostrils were invaded by Cat's intoxicating perfume, and Cats intense stare wasn't helping either. Whether the older woman remained mad at her, she didn't know. But when Cat's hand landed on her chin, lifting it ever so slightly, her lips becoming much too close, far too inviting, Kara suddenly felt an ounce of courage shoot through her. And she may regret this later she thought, but she kissed her.
*dinggggggg*
They jumped apart as the elevator doors flew open.
