Wise Samaritan
By, The Angels of Death
Summary: Tenten-centric. Tenten's a good Samaritan, whacking senses into people. With a stick.
Tenten watched a complete stranger drop their bag of groceries. The middle-aged woman with lines of worry and stress taking control of her face, cursed quietly, and tried to bend over to pick them up, wincing at her bad back. Tenten immediately rushed over and helped her pick up her things. The woman thanked her softly before limping away quickly. Tenten eyed the purpling bruise she spotted on the woman's face and ankle, since the make-up was wearing off.
"Hm…"
Lee landed a kick at Tenten's head, causing her to fall sideways, a bruise on her cheek. Neji quirked an eye open and sighed softly. Lee helped her up and commented on how spaced out she was.
"Tenten that was a simple kick…"
"I know."
"Then why didn't you-…"
"I'm taking a break. Bye."
Tenten briskly walked away, doing her best to ignore the odd looks from her teammate.
Whack.
Smash.
Vase breaking in pieces.
Tenten witnessed many of these and so much more, when she followed the previous lady home, and saw her beaten up by her husband. Or boyfriend. Or fiancé. Or…man whore. Whatever, she was getting beat up, and Tenten was getting ticked off.
"No one deserves to be treated that badly."
Tenten quietly leaped into the house through the open window and tiptoed to the site of disaster.
"You worthless piece of-…"
"That's unnecessary name calling, sir."
Both the abusing man and the abused woman turned towards the new occupant in the room.
"Who the hell are you?"
"Hi, I'm a typical Mormon that would like to change your religion."
"………"
"………"
"………!"
'Whoops gotta think of another disguise.'
Tenten coughed slightly and straightened herself out.
"Hi. I lied. I'm not a Mormon. I am a girl scout. Would you like to buy a box of cookies?"
"…I don't see no cookies."
"…Oh contraire. I do have cookies. It just your mind's eye that can't see them."
"…No, you don't have no cookies."
"………"
"………"
"Okay! I'm not a girl scout! God. I'm a typical realtor. Are you interested in selling your home?"
"…No."
"Rent?"
"No!"
"…Charity?"
"………"
"Does the silence mean you're thinking it over?"
"………"
"………"
"Get out of my house."
"No."
"Why not?"
"…Because."
"………"
"………"
"…Because why?"
"You're an ass?"
"………!"
The abusing man lifted his hand back and slapped Tenten across the cheek. Tenten didn't move her head while he did that. But she did smack him across the back of his head.
"You freaking idiot."
"Why am I the idiot?"
"I am supposed to slap you first."
"But I already slapped you."
"Shut up."
"Make me."
Tenten whacked him with a stick she found outside a while back. He glared at her. The abused wife slowly inched away from the room, away from danger. Tenten saw her through the corner of her eye and nodded slightly, unnoticed by the man.
Once the woman left, away from harm, Tenten cracked her knuckles and smirked.
"Let's see whose boss, wuss."
The medical team treated the woman's numerous wounds and bruises, as Tenten watched with her arms crossed through the stain-glass window. Neji walked over and stood by her side.
"So what have you been up to this time?"
"Being a good Samaritan."
"Again?"
"You bet your ass."
"I'd rather not."
The End
Yup, first time I made a fic with NO pairing at all. I dunno, I just felt like writing something like this.
A penny for your thoughts. In reviews.
